  • Patent number: 10356356
Abstract: A garment having audio-video display capabilities, has a garment body bearing a a video display device. The display device is preferably mounted to a surface of the garment body whereby it cannot be seen unless activated. An audio reproduction device is also mounted to the garment body. Both the video and audio display/reproduction devices are controlled by a microprocessor system likewise mounted to the garment body. The processor system is capable of receiving video and audio data and control signals from a remote source, such as a smartphone, over a wireless communications system, such a Bluetooth system. In addition, the garment may itself have a camera and microphone to allow the wearer to record audio-visual material and display it on the garment system.

  • Patent number: 8732866
Abstract: A fabric construction includes sensory transducers, such as light-emitting diodes, for sensory effects while maintaining the look and feel of a conventional fabric item. The construction is especially adapted for implementation as a garment. The construction has a fabric layer and an appliqué on a front surface of the fabric layer. A plurality of electrical sensory transducers are arranged in a desired pattern with an electrical harness electrically interconnecting the sensory transducers to a drive and control circuit. The transducers and harness are located between a rear surface of the appliqué and a front surface of the fabric layer, while the drive and control circuitry is positioned at a rear surface of the fabric layer. The fabric layer and appliqué are bonded together to seal the transducers and harness in place. Releasable connectors extend through the fabric layer to operatively connect the harness to the drive and control circuit.

  • Publication number: 20070063849
Abstract: A wearable telecommunication device such as a garment that allows sending the sensation of touch, for example in the form of a hug, over a distance. Embedded in the garment are sensors and actuators, and typically one garment is worn by the sender and another by the recipient. The sensors capture various parameters representative of the touch, including the strength of the touch, the skin warmth and the heartbeat rate of the wearer, and the actuators recreate the sensation of that touch, and warmth through heating, vibration, and inflation. A wired or wireless connection permits the data captured by the sensors in the sender garment to be transmitted to the actuators in the recipient garment.

  • Publication number: 20060133339
Abstract: The present invention includes a system and mobile device for storing, accessing and sharing information across a network. The system includes a wide area network and a local area network formed on an ad hoc basis by at least two mobile devices. The mobile devices are connectable to the wide-area network to gain access to data stored on a database, while the user settings and the local area network informs the device which information the device should access.
