Abstract: A token-based method for authenticating a user includes placing a predetermined token (i.e., physical object) at a predetermined location on a touch sensitive device to generate an authentication authorization rather than a traditional text-based, smartcard or biometric method of user authentication. In various embodiments, a plurality of tokens is placed upon the touch sensitive device in a predetermined sequence at predetermined locations to generate an authentication authorization.

The method may include monitoring, in response to a triggering event, a first vehicle having a first vehicle state including a set of physical condition characteristics. The method may also include detecting, for the first vehicle, a vehicle incident including a change of one or more physical condition characteristics of the set of physical condition characteristics. The method may also include collecting, in response to detecting the vehicle incident for the first vehicle, incident circumstance information including a set of potential causes of the vehicle incident. In certain embodiments, the method may include providing incident data based on at least a portion of the incident circumstance information and at least a portion of the change of one or more physical condition characteristics.

A database comprising an aggregation of visualization records from a plurality of users is accessed and at least one template from the data visualization records that matches the data attributes and context is selected. A data visualization is created by applying at least one template to the data.

Abstract: An approach is provided improving building codes. In the approach, building code related data retrieved from a number of sources is evaluated. The sources correspond to a first geographic location, such as a municipality, being analyzed and one or more second geographic locations (e.g., other municipalities, etc.) being used for comparison. Based on the evaluation, a negative outcome, such as a higher insurance cost, is then identified that relates to the first geographic location. The approach then identifies a building code change that could be made to the building codes of the first geographic location to address the negative outcome. The identified building code change is then recommended to be made to the set of building codes that applies to the first geographic location.

In an embodiment of the invention, a method for processing multiple touches on a display of a touch screen device includes detecting a touch to a location of a touch screen display of a computing device. The method also includes determining (1) whether or not the detected touch has occurred within a pre-determined period of time from a previously detected touch to the touch screen display (2) at a location proximate to the location of the detected touch and (3) at a time when a refreshing of a user interface of the computing device lags beyond a threshold the detection of the touch. If so, the detected touch is disregarded.
