Abstract: A control circuit adapted to be switched to a standby mode during periods without control requirement and to be repeatedly reset during the standby mode of operation for a short wake-up period each to a full mode of operation. The control circuit comprises a standby oscillator that is operative also in the standby mode and that is adjusted during wake-up periods.

Abstract: The circuit includes two regulating loops connected in parallel to each other. A slow regulating loop presents a lower first intervention threshold, and a fast regulating loop has a higher second intervention threshold. The slow regulating loop is low-gain and frequency-stable for accurately controlling the maximum value of the current supplied by the driver in the event of slow overloads or transient states. In the event of rapid overloads, the current supply increases rapidly and the fast regulating loop is turned on to rapidly discharge the parasitic capacitance of the driver.

Abstract: Current control device particularly for power circuits in MOS technology, which comprises a MOSFET transistor which has its source terminal connected to one terminal of a dissipative load, its gate terminal connected to a pump circuit which receives in input a supply voltage and a square-waveform voltage, and its drain terminal connected to a power supply. The device furthermore comprises a control circuit which is coupled to the MOSFET transistor by means of an electrical connection and generates signals for adjusting the supply voltage and the square-waveform voltage of the pump circuit.
