Abstract: An extraction hood of the up-and-down type for extracting fumes and/or vapours generated on a hob includes a fixed first hood portion (2) and a second extraction hood portion (4) set at a distance from the first extraction hood portion (2) and close to the hob, the second hood portion containing an extraction device (6) capable of drawing in air containing fumes and/or vapours from the hob and directing it towards an opening (11) in the second hood portion (4) to be discharged therefrom and passed towards the first hood portion (2). A conveyor (10) for the discharged air is provided at the opening (11) of the second hood portion (4). The conveyor includes a body (30) having a tubular annular shell (31) containing a honeycomb structure (32) with a number of tubular cells (42) through which the air leaving the second hood portion (4) is discharged.

In addition to this, the diffuser (2) has an air delivery or discharge conduit (5) having a cross-section increasing from an inlet to its outlet (6).

This flat panel (23) is parallel to the second surface (6), including when the hood (1) is in use.

Abstract: The kitchen extractor hood (110) is provided with means (38) for generating a first flow (A, B) of a gaseous mixture taken from the internal environment (51) in which the hood (110) is located and releasing it into the external environment (52). The hood (110) is also provided with means (28) for generating a second flow (C, D) of a gaseous mixture taken from the external environment (52) and/or from the internal environment (51) and releasing it into the internal environment (51), as well as with means (10) for recovering part of the thermal energy contained in the first flow (A, B) and transferring it to the second flow (C, D). The means (10) used to recover thermal energy comprise a recovery device (14) comprising in turn a heat exchanger of the heat pipe type (16), featuring an evaporation section (14E) dealing with the first flow (A, B) and a condensation section (14C) dealing with the second flow (C, D).
