  • Patent number: 11835144
Abstract: A valve for a bypass conduit is comprised of a rigid inner frame having an arm with a tab at one end and a hinge at an opposite end. A flexible outer seal is positioned over the inner frame, the flexible outer seal defining a peripheral edge to substantially house the tab and arm of the inner frame. The valve is pivotable from a first position to a second position on the bypass conduit.

  • Publication number: 20220241544
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a flow interruption valve comprising a first section permanently connected to the second section. The first section has a patient portion to connect to a corresponding tube of a patient, whereas the second section has a ventilator port to connect to a corresponding tube of a ventilator. The first section is further comprised of a compression system, which can be compressed to pinch an inner tube and prevent airflow from the ventilator to the patient and vice-versa.

  • Patent number: 11079026
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a valve for a respiratory bypass conduit, the valve further comprised of an inner frame that provides rigidity to a flexible outer seal. The inner frame has guiding flanges to guide the valve within he conduit, and a hinge portion to be secured within a slot of the conduit. Together, the hinge and the guiding flanged help the valve move from a first position to a second position. The present disclosure also provides for a method of assembling the valve for respiratory bypass conduit, whereby the inner frame is aligned with and inserted into the outer seal until a peripheral gap of the outer seal substantially houses the inner frame and an inner periphery of the inner frame surrounds a recessed portion of the outer seal to secure the outer seal in the correct orientation relative to the inner frame.

  • Patent number: 10350377
Abstract: A bypass system for respiratory therapy and anaesthesia having a first bypass conduit for receiving a gas flow and for receiving a filtration device. The bypass system also has an activation device for redirecting the gas flow within the first bypass conduit. A second bypass conduit is also present in the bypass system which has a passive control valve to redirect air flow within the second bypass conduit. A conduit interconnects the first and second bypass conduit for providing a passage of gases between the first and second bypass conduits.

  • Publication number: 20150202398
Abstract: The present invention provides a bypass system for respiratory therapy and anesthesia comprising a first bypass conduit for receiving a gas flow and for receiving a filtration device. The bypass system also has an activation means for redirecting the gas flow within the first bypass conduit. A second bypass conduit for receiving the gas flow from the first bypass conduit and the filtration device is also present in the system. The bypass system also has a passive control valve within the second bypass conduit to redirect air flow within the second bypass conduit and a conduit interconnected to the first and second bypass conduit for providing a passage of gases between the first and second bypass conduit when activated by the activation means wherein the activation means is activated when the first bypass conduit is not connected to a filtration device.
