  • Publication number: 20040069358
Abstract: A plate (9, 10) made of hard material, having at least one flat surface machined by means of lapping and intended to be used as a member to control the flow in a hydraulic equipment unit, that consists of a thermosetting synthetic polymer, is made by means of molding and has in the regions different from its flat surface configurations suitable for cooperating directly with some specific members of a hydraulic equipment unit. The thermosetting synthetic polymer can be mixed with a solid lubricant. When the plate is a fixed plate, it presents the characteristic configurations of a bottom member that is directly connected to the cage (1) of a cartridge, whereas when the plate is a movable plate, it presents the characteristic configurations of a slide that cooperates directly with guide members and with members for operating the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 6471132
Abstract: A thermostatic mixing valve includes a body, inlets for intake of hot and cold water and a discharge outlet for delivery of mixed water. A mixing chamber is within the body and is defined by a perimeter wall member that houses a slide valve which slidably moves in the mixing chamber so as to control the opening and closing of the inlets to the mixing chamber. A thermostatic element is mounted to control motion of the slide valve. A partition is mounted in the mixing chamber between the inlets. A cross passage allows water from one inlet to pass the partition toward the discharge outlet. The mixing chamber has an inclined surface to direct water from the other inlet toward the cross passage to promote mixing of the hot and cold water.

  • Patent number: 6298879
Abstract: A stem valve stopper that has a shell (1) intended to be mounted to a faucet (K). An operating stem (8) is mounted for rotation but is axially fixed in the stopper shell (1) and has a lower end that acts as a valve seat surface (12). The stem 8 has an interior section (7) that is threadably engaged with a mobile fitting (6) that is mounted in the shell so that it can be moved axially but cannot be turned or rotated inside the stopper shell. The mobile fitting (6) has an annular lower end surrounding a valve seat (12). A valve sealing member (17) made from elastomeric material is mounted in the lower end of stopper shell (1) and is spring biased downstream toward the valve seat (12). The mobile fitting (6) can be operated to push the sealing member (17) upstream away from valve seat surface (12) and provide flow about the valve seat (12).

  • Patent number: 4403739
Abstract: A device for aerating a jet of water, particularly for the delivery spout of a hydraulic apparatus, with a mixing chamber, an air intake, a delivery orifice provided with nets for regularization of the jet, and a pulverization device comprising a first and a second element having each at least a ring series of openings of relatively large size, these two elements, when in the position of finer pulverization, being superimposed in such a way that the openings of the two elements register with each other along small portions adjacent to the edges, thus forming a plurality of restricted passages. Perferably, the opposite edges of each opening of one element form two narrow passages with the adjacent edges of two subsequent openings of the other element, thus producing slanting jets which meet the one another and thereby pulverize. The second element may be displaced, interchanged or omitted in order to obtain different working conditions.
