  • Publication number: 20240137656
Abstract: An optical system includes a spatial encoding arrangement for generating spatially encoded light with an initial spatial distribution; a coded aperture defining a mask pattern based on the initial spatial distribution of the spatially encoded light; and—an image sensor. The spatial encoding arrangement—directs the spatially encoded light onto the object, and the object reflects at least a portion of the spatially encoded light to form reflected light. The reflected light is directed through the coded aperture to form spatially decoded light. The spatially decoded light is directed onto the image sensor to form an image thereon, and the image sensor detects the image. The spatial encoding arrangement includes optical emitters spatially arranged, defining the initial spatial pattern of the spatially encoded light. The mask pattern is the inverse of the initial spatial pattern of the spatially encoded light defined by the spatial arrangement of the optical emitters.

  • Patent number: 11860199
Abstract: An apparatus for a first current sensor for a switching converter has an inductor and a first switch. The first switch is arranged to selectively couple the inductor to a first voltage. The first current sensor generates a first output current that is dependent on an inductor current flowing through the inductor The first current sensor compensates for an error arising due to the first switch in the generation of the first output current. The apparatus provides an improved current sensor for a switching converter that overcomes or mitigates the problem of errors in the measurement of a current.

  • Publication number: 20230186094
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for probabilistic neural network architecture generation. In an example, an underlying distribution over neural network architectures based on various parameters is sampled using probabilistic modeling. Training data is evaluated in order to iteratively update the underlying distribution, thereby generating a probability distribution over the neural network architectures. The distribution is iteratively trained until the parameters associated with the neural network architecture converge. Once it is determined that the parameters have converged, the resulting probability distribution may be used to generate a resulting neural network architecture. As a result, intermediate architectures need not be fully trained, which dramatically reduces memory usage and/or processing time.

  • Publication number: 20230052878
Abstract: A method of calibrating a driving parameter of an optical component across an operating wavelength range of the component. The method comprises placing a layer of material in a light path, the layer of material being substantially planar and substantially transparent and having a thickness of the order of wavelengths in said range and operating said component to vary said driving parameter whilst detecting light transmitted through said layer of material to obtain driving parameter versus light intensity data. The obtained data is then compared with characterizing data previously derived for said layer of material in order to calibrate said driving parameter.

  • Patent number: 11301516
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to a search platform that facilitates a user in searching entities, products and/or services, such as foods or restaurants. The platform can allow for a user to search for food by attributes such as a name of the dish, an ingredient of the dish, or a diet type (e.g., Keto diet). A search result can include a list of dishes available across multiple restaurants. The user can view detailed information about a dish (e.g., ingredients, ingredient the user is allergic to, calories) by selecting an entry in the list. The platform also allows a user to view an augmented-reality (AR) based image of the selected dish, which can be a three-dimensional (3D) image capable of being modified (e.g., turn, pan, zoom in).

  • Publication number: 20220019792
Abstract: Method and device for detecting and classifying a not-known object by a device having a two-dimensional field of view. The method includes a learning step, a detecting step and an inspection step. The learning step includes positioning a first known object in a field of view of the device and then positioning a second known object in the field of view of the device, to obtain images of the first and second known objects. Distinctive characteristics and common characteristics of the objects are identified and used to obtain an equality descriptor relative to common elements of the first and second known objects and a difference descriptor allowing association of the first and second known objects to two distinct classes. The device is then used to detect a third, not-known object. The equality descriptor and the difference descriptor are then used in an inspection step to classify the third not-known object.

  • Publication number: 20210366577
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure include implementing a ML-enabled cellular disease model for validating an intervention, identifying patient populations that are likely responders to an intervention, and developing a therapeutic structure-activity relationship screen. To generate a cellular disease model, data is combined from human genetic cohorts, from the literature, and from general-purpose cellular or tissue-level genomic data to unravel the set of factors (e.g., genetic, environmental, cellular factors) that give rise to a particular disease. In vitro cells are engineered using the set of factors to generate training data for training machine learning models that are useful for implementing cellular disease models.
