  • Patent number: 10316910
Abstract: Method of obtaining a backing plate (11) for a brake pad (13), comprising the steps of: providing a band (113) of a material suitable for the making of the backing plate (11); carrying out, on the band (113), the blanking of the backing plate (11) so as to define, on the backing plate (11), a front surface (11a) and a back surface (11b) essentially parallel to each other, the flat front surface (11a) being adapted to receive a layer of friction material; carrying out, on the band (113), the coining of a plurality of engagement recesses (19) on the front surface (11a); characterized in that the engagement recesses (19) are distributed over the front surface (19a) in a non-uniform way and in accordance with a predetermined pattern.

  • Patent number: 9995356
Abstract: A back plate for a brake pad of a disc brake assembly is provided. The back plate comprises a plate body provided with a pair of opposite surfaces and lateral flanks. An engaging portion is defined on a first one of the surfaces, delimited by a corresponding perimeter, and adapted to receive a friction material. The engaging portion is provided with at least a first series of rectilinear parallel rows of retaining elements for the friction material. Each row comprises a plurality of grooves associated to corresponding protrusions. The protrusions are provided with a proximal end integrally connected to the material of the plate body and a free distal end. For each row of the at least first series of rows, a distance measured along the axis of each row between the mutually adjacent retaining elements closest to the perimeter of the engaging portion and the perimeter is constant.

  • Patent number: 5120109
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat can assume a plurality of different configurations to enable its optimal adaptation to the particular characteristics of the body of the seated person, ensuring a physiologically correct position of the shoulder region, the back, the lumbar region, the pelvis and the legs, as well as optimal distribution of the pressures on these regions, so that fatigue is reduced to a minimum even in the event of frequent and prolonged periods in the seat which would otherwise actually give rise to occupational disease.
