Abstract: A miniature spacecraft is constructed using modular features so as to provide a wide range of possible sizes with a choice of physical attributes. Radially directed bays are arranged around a central cylindrical element which may be used for storing a propulsion tank or canister. Octagonal or other configurations provide rigidity and strength through the use of triangular planetary cylinders which form outwardly facing bays for storage.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method and apparatus for taking up a board road the bottom layer of boards of which have been laid with their major axes transversely of the road and the top layer of boards of which are nailed to the bottom layer with the major axes of the boards of the top layer being longitudinally of the direction of the board road which provides a grasping and unnailing station for grasping a plurality of the longitudinally laid boards and breaking their nailed connection with the under layer of transversely laid boards, thereafter stacking said boards in layers at a stacking station to be baled into bundles, while bending the nails flat which upstand from each board as the layers of boards are formed at the stacking station and thereafter baling the stacked layers of boards into bundles and transporting the bundles of stacked boards to inventory.

Abstract: An imperforate sheet of gasket material from which gaskets, for preventing leakage of fluid between opposed surfaces, can be made. The sheet, which may be produced by various methods, comprises a matrix of an elastically-compressible material and discrete volumes of substantially-rigid material so distributed therein that upon compressing the sheet between opposed surfaces, initially the matrix material solely resists compression and only thereafter do the discrete volumes also resist compression. The distribution is also such that the mean rate of compression over any area of the sheet is substantially the same as the mean rate of compression over another area of the sheet when the areas are similarly compressed. The discrete volumes form compression stops to resist undesirable over-compression of the sheet. Such a sheet has application in the automotive industry, gaskets made therefrom being particularly suitable for fluid-sealing in vehicle engines.
