  • Patent number: 11925709
Abstract: The present invention is directed to compositions comprising an extrudate or solid solution of a compound, or a salt thereof, of Formula I (API): wherein “Ra” is independently —H or —F, in a water-soluble polymer matrix which further comprises a disintegration system allowing a tablet made therefrom to rapidly disintegrate in the environment in which the API is to be released.

  • Patent number: 4183713
Abstract: This pitot pump is provided with pressure balancing for minimizing thrust loads on its bearings. The pump has a housing containing a rotatable casing mounted on a shaft. A fixed pitot tube is mounted in the casing for withdrawing pressurized fluid as the casing rotates and discharging the fluid through an axial outlet passage extending through one end wall of the casing. Fluid is introduced to the casing through the same end wall by way of an annular inlet passage coaxial with the outlet passage. The fluid flows from this inlet passage to the interior of the casing through a plurality of radiating passages in the end wall of the casing. When such a pump is used with a pressurized inlet fluid, an axial thrust on the casing bearings would result if it were not for the thrust balancing means. This comprises an axial balancing chamber between a portion of the end wall opposite the fluid inlet and a portion of the pitot tube.

  • Patent number: 4135861
Abstract: A jet pump has a nozzle for a power fluid, a Venturi for the power fluid and a well fluid, and a passage for the well fluid radially outside the Venturi and into the discharge of the nozzle. The power fluid aspirates the well fluid and the combined stream enters the Venturi. The Venturi is ceramic for erosion control. A shell sheaths the ceramic throughout its length and loads the ceramic compressively to provide a compressive preload on it. This preload opposes radial, outward acting stress in the Venturi arising from a greater fluid pressure within the Venturi than the fluid pressure outside it. The preload also produces a friction lock to keep the Venturi from sliding out of the shell because of an axial pressure differential.

  • Patent number: 3960319
Abstract: A three-phase centrifugal separator for a mixture which may include oil, water, gas and/or solids. A rotor is provided with an inner rotor chamber encircled by an outer rotor chamber, the mixture being delivered to the inner rotor chamber wherein it is centrifugally separated into an inner gas phase encircling the rotor axis, an annular intermediate oil phase encircling the gas phase, and an annular outer water and solids phase encircling the oil phase. Water and solids are discharged into the outer rotor chamber through discharge ports in the periphery of the inner rotor chamber, and are subsequently discharged into an enclosing housing means through discharge ports in the periphery of the outer rotor chamber.

  • Patent number: T961006
Abstract: an oil well completion comprising a well bore drilled from the surface through and below an oil producing formation to provide an extension below the producing formation, a jet pump in the extension below and in communication with the producing formation, means for conducting power fluid under pressure downwardly in the well bore from the surface to the jet pump, and means for conducting spent power fluid, and fluid from said producing formation discharged by said jet pump, upwardly in the well bore from the jet pump to the surface. The purpose of locating the jet pump in a downward extension of the well bore below the producing formation is to provide sufficient submergence of the jet pump to avoid cavitation, without curtailing the flow of fluid from the producing formation into the well bore.
