  • Patent number: 9932686
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method and device for oxidative erosion or for decontamination of a metallic surface, comprising a step consisting of intermittently polarizing the metallic surface to be eroded or decontaminated, placed in contact with a solution containing manganese VII, at a more anodic electric potential than the corrosion potential of said surface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 12, 2009
Date of Patent: April 3, 2018
Assignee: COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES
Inventors: Jean-Michel Fulconis, Jacques Delagrange, Francis Dalard, Jean-Pierre Caire

  • Patent number: 6716402
Abstract: The present invention concerns a process for dissolving ruthenium deposits that are present on a surface and a process for decontaminating the internal circuits of nuclear fuel reprocessing plants using the said dissolution process. The process according to the invention comprises bringing the said surface into contact with an aqueous solution of perruthenate, with the said aqueous solution having a pH equal to or greater than 12, so that the ruthenium is oxidised.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 22, 2002
Date of Patent: April 6, 2004
    Assignee: Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique
Inventors: Jean-Michel Fulconis, Jacques Delagrange, Francis Dalard
  • Patent number: 6702902
Abstract: Disclosed a method for radioactive decontamination of a steel surface, which is performed by bringing the surface to be decontaminated into contact with a pickling solution comprising a first iron oxidation agent, wherein bringing into contact being achieved by means of the direct continuous introduction into the pickling solution of a gas comprising a second oxidation agent, and a device for implementing the said method.
    Type: Grant
