  • Patent number: 4595402
Abstract: A suspension system for mounting filter bags in a baghouse is disclosed featuring a pretensioned spring having an amount of pretension which will prevent spring displacement when subjected to a first loading force which is the combined weight of the filter bag and a predetermined dust load therein but will permit momentary spring displacement when it is subjected to a second loading force which is the sum of the first loading force and an additional loading force imposed on the filter bag during a cleaning cycle.

  • Patent number: 4065277
Abstract: A dirty gas inlet configuration for a cyclone-type particulate matter gas separator device has two annular concentrically disposed converging dirty gas channels. The outer annular channel has a plurality of gas flow directing vanes disposed therein to impart a spinning or whirling motion to a dirty gas stream passing into the separator device through the outer annular channel from outside the separator device. The inner annular channel has an adjustable dirty gas inlet for varying the volume rate of flow of dirty gas passing into the separator device through the inner annular channel from outside the separator device. The dirty gas streams exiting the outer and inner annular converging channels are mixed together in an annular mixing chamber located downstream from and coaxially disposed with the outer and inner annular channels. While mixing together, the whirling gas stream from the outer channel imparts a whirling motion to the dirty gas stream from the inner annular channel.

  • Patent number: 3976455
Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning a dirty gas stream including a scrubber throat therein, the scrubber including a plurality of elongated baffles arranged in parallel and pivotally disposed for rotational movement therein, adjacent baffles being disposed to rotate in opposite directions thereby increasing or decreasing the cross-sectional flow through area with alternating converging and diverging flow through openings.
