  • Patent number: 4444444
Abstract: An uninterruptible electric power source comprising a rotor and a stator with the stator having a magnetically suspended flywheel with magnet rings for radial centering, a double electromagnet in a servoloop for restoring equilibrium including a rate sensor and lift-off logic in the servoloop encased in an evacuated vacuum enclosure. Variation in the structure of elements including the enclosure are described.

  • Patent number: 4188666
Abstract: The energy storage is effected kinetically. The system includes a first feedback loop with a time constant .tau.1 including a regulator connecting the supply busbar to a device for controlling momentum wheels used for the kinetic energy storage and the torque control. A second feedback loop, of time constant .tau.2, transmits velocity data .omega. from the momentum wheels to a processing unit, constituted by a microprocessor, which controls the wheel actuating device. A third feedback loop, of time constant .tau.3, supplies the processing unit with the data regarding the torque required by the satellite piloting device.

  • Patent number: 4164018
Abstract: The invention relates generally to a method of regulating the onboard voltage of a spacecraft and of steering the same by at least two contrarotating motor-generator dynamoelectrical machines.According to said method, there are provided two phases:The energy storage mode, during which each machine receives electrical energy from solar generators through a velocity controlling generator commanded from a synthesis of the data relating to position and rotor velocity; The energy restitution mode, during which each generator supplies energy to a load consisting of the onboard equipment of the satellite. Output monitoring systems effect a synthesis of the data relating to position rotor velocity and additionally control the power switches.

  • Patent number: 4162221
Abstract: The composition based on nitrated synthetic musk, contains about 0.5 to 50% y weight with respect to the total composition, of a modifying agent, the complement to 100% being constituted by the nitrated synthetic musk. The modifying agent is a solid non-filmformer, at least partially soluble in lower alcohols and being in addition odorless and non-toxic or non-irritant in contact with human tissue. It is specially useful in the perfumery, washing materials and detergent industries.
