  • Patent number: 11957848
Abstract: A method of making magnetically controllable devices for interventional medical procedures comprises the steps of: Manufacturing a medical device for interventional medical procedures having magnetic materials which are without permanent magnetization; and establishing permanent magnetization within the magnetic materials subsequent to manufacturing, wherein the permanent magnetization allows the medical device to be magnetically controllable. The method may further including the step of packaging and sterilizing the medical device, wherein establishing permanent magnetization occurs after packaging and sterilization. The establishing permanent magnetization within the magnetic materials may include providing different magnetic orientations to distinct portions of the magnetic materials. The magnetic material includes one of a platinum alloy or a palladium alloy.

  • Patent number: 11612655
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a system for external manipulation of magnetic nanoparticles in vasculature using a remotely placed magnetic field-generating stator. In one aspect, the systems and methods relate to the control of magnetic nanoparticles in a fluid medium using permanent magnet-based or electromagnetic field-generating stator sources. Such a system can be useful for increasing the diffusion of therapeutic agents in a fluid medium, such as a human circulatory system, which can result in substantial clearance of fluid obstructions, such as vascular occlusions, in a circulatory system resulting in increased blood flow.

  • Patent number: 11406711
Abstract: A system and method for therapeutic agent conveyance using configurable magnetic field includes a field generating workstation. The workstation includes at least one, generally a pair of, magnet subassemblies. Each subassembly is rotationally mounted on a rotation axis to orientate the subassembly poles. A rotatable yoke supports each subassembly and the yoke axis is offset from each subassembly rotation axis. Yoke rotation configures a collective system magnetic field.

  • Publication number: 20210283254
Abstract: A system for the physical manipulation of free magnetic rotors in a circulatory system using a remotely placed magnetic field-generating stator is provided. In one embodiment, the invention relates to the control of magnetic particles in a fluid medium using permanent magnet-based or electromagnetic field-generating stator sources. Such a system can be useful for increasing the diffusion of therapeutic agents in a fluid medium, such as a human circulatory system, which can result in substantial clearance of fluid obstructions, such as vascular occlusions, in a circulatory system resulting in increased blood flow. Examples of vascular occlusions targeted by the system include, but are not limited to, atherosclerotic plaques, including fibrous caps, fatty buildup, coronary occlusions, arterial stenosis, restenosis, vein thrombi, arterial thrombi, cerebral thrombi, embolisms, hemorrhages, other blood clots, and very small vessels.
