  • Publication number: 20240164074
Abstract: An electromagnetic emission shield for protecting a facility has a volume containing coal combustion residue. The shield includes a carbon-based material positioned inside an interior space of the coal combustion residue proximate to and interposed between a potential source of electromagnetic emission and the facility. A casting arrangement for fabricating a structural panel for use in constructing an EMP-protective composite structure, includes an uninterrupted ferrous back panel having an inner side and an outer side. An edge form of side members is removably positioned around the uninterrupted ferrous back panel defining a perimeter. Studs are welded to the inner side of the uninterrupted ferrous back panel within the perimeter. Reinforcing members define a grid within the perimeter. A cementitious layer is poured on the inner side of the uninterrupted ferrous back panel in which the plurality of studs and the reinforcing members are embedded.

  • Patent number: 11795901
Abstract: A pumped storage electricity generating system that includes a water feed line for introducing water into a pressure vessel. Water flow valves communicate with the pressure vessel to control introduction of water into the pressure vessel. A push plate is mounted for movement in the pressure vessel. A single motor, for example, hydraulic radial piston motors, may be adapted for reciprocating the push plate linearly between a first direction wherein water is drawn into the pressure vessel through the water flow valves and a second direction wherein water is conveyed downstream through the water discharge line under pressure to the hydroelectric turbine. Other embodiments are double-acting and convey water to the turbine on each stroke.
