  • Publication number: 20130187070
Abstract: A protective liner for a link in an actuation system includes a link with a pin bore; and a liner layer on a inner surface of a pin bore of a link for an actuation system, wherein the liner material has modulus of elasticity of less than 1×105 and a load carrying capability of at least 10 Ksi (68.95 N/mm2).

  • Patent number: 8439073
Abstract: A high temperature gate valve including a valve body formed to define first and second ports and an exit, each of which has a length-wise dimension greater than a height-wise dimension, and a door, having a length-wise dimension greater than a height-wise dimension, coupled to the valve body to occupy and move between positions at which the door prevents fluid communication between one of the first or the second port and the exit and intermediate positions at which fluid communication between the first and the second port and the exit is permitted.

  • Patent number: 8313656
Abstract: A variable wash flow filter assembly includes guide that is operable to guide a wash velocity control cone between a minimal position and a maximum position. The guide defines at least one activation deltaP window downstream of a conical gap between the wash velocity control cone and a frusto-conical wash filter. The fuel flow through the conical gap and the activation deltaP window is operable to position the wash velocity control cone between the minimal position and maximum position to selectively split a fuel flow through an inlet into a burn flow through a thru flow port and a filtered flow thru the frusto-conical wash filter and filtered flow port.

  • Publication number: 20120027509
Abstract: A system to retain a sleeve within a housing includes a sleeve, a spring loaded retaining pin which can be moved to be fully within the sleeve, a locking pin to hold the retaining pin within the sleeve when the sleeve is being set into or withdrawn from the housing, and an annular recess in the housing to receive the retaining pin when the sleeve is set in the housing, the locking pin is removed and the retaining pin is pushed outward by the spring. The sleeve is retained within the housing when the spring pushes the retaining pin outward so that the retaining pin engages the annular recess in the housing.

  • Publication number: 20110079286
Abstract: A valve assembly (10) includes a housing (12) including an inlet (14) and an outlet (16). A tubular inlet spool (18) is located in the inlet (14) and has a closed downstream end (22) and a plurality of spool openings (24) through an outer surface (26) of the inlet spool (18). A tubular sleeve (28) is located over the circumference of the inlet spool (18) and is movable to substantially uncover the plurality of spool openings (24) thereby allowing a fluid flow (54) through the valve assembly (10). A method of flowing a fluid (54) through a valve assembly (10) includes urging the fluid (54) into a tubular inlet spool (18) of the valve assembly (10) to a closed downstream end (22) of the inlet spool (18). The fluid (54) is directed toward a plurality of spool openings (24) disposed in an outer surface (26) of the inlet spool (18).
