  • Patent number: 5235318
Abstract: The installation is designed for automatic surveillance of the radiation dose absorbed by an individual carrying a dosimeter during his stay in a specific zone. Each access point to this zone comprises a reader able to transmit a radioelectric wave carrying a proximity signal and possibly other data to the dosimeter. This signal is received by the dosimeter, and the latter retransmits a wave carrying measuring and identification data, and so on, to the reader.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 14, 1991
Date of Patent: August 10, 1993
    Assignee: Merlin Gerin
    Inventor: Francis Schulcz
  • Patent number: 5036200
Abstract: A device for counting particles of ionizing radiation comprises a detector and a reference source on the input side of the detector delivering reference radiation the spectrum of which is situated outside the spectrum of the ionizing radiation to be detected. The device further comprises an arrangement for discriminating the amplitude and energy of the received ionizing radiation and means for adjusting the relative positions of the amplitude levels on a scale of amplitude and the amplitudes of the pulses generated by the reference radiation. The device may be applied to monitoring the flowrate of leakage between primary and secondary circuits of a nuclear power plant steam generator.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 20, 1989
Date of Patent: July 30, 1991
Assignee: Electricite de France (Service National)
Inventors: Alain Dubail, Alain Pailhes, Francis Schulcz
