  • Patent number: 10852110
Abstract: A toy dart includes a deformable cap that safely impacts a target. The cap includes two layers of openings that provide spaces that allow the cap to deform. The lower layer, having two openings, is supported by exterior posts and an interior wall between the two openings. The upper layer, having two openings, is supported by exterior posts and an interior wall that is laterally offset from the interior wall of the lower layer. The upper and lower layers are separated vertically by a substantially flat divider. The upper layer is more rigid than the lower layer such that the lower layer of the cap deforms more than the upper layer of the cap upon initial impact with the target.

  • Patent number: 10801800
Abstract: A toy projectile launcher having a front portion, a rear portion, a hinge connecting the front portion and the rear portion, a handle connected to the front portion and adapted to rotate the front portion against the rear portion around the hinge among a left orientation, a right orientation, and a center orientation, and a rotatable two-way mirror, the handle being rotatable around a same axis of rotation as the hinge, and the rotatable two-way mirror being coupled to the front portion via a mechanical transmission adapted to translate a rotation of the front portion around the hinge to a rotation of the rotatable two-way mirror at a 2:1 ratio.

  • Patent number: 10739117
Abstract: A toy dart includes a deformable cap that safely impacts a target. The cap includes two layers of substantially parallel hollow passages that provide spaces that allow the cap to deform. The lower layer, having two hollow passages, is supported by exterior posts and an interior wall between the two hollow passages. The upper layer, having three hollow passages, is supported by exterior posts and interior walls that are laterally offset from the interior wall of the lower layer. The upper and lower layers are separated vertically by a substantially flat divider. Due to the difference in the number of hollow passages and interior walls in each layer, the upper layer is more rigid than the lower layer such that the lower layer of the cap deforms more than the upper layer of the cap upon initial impact with the target.

  • Publication number: 20200232748
Abstract: A toy projectile launcher for launching projectiles, e.g, toy foam darts, from a hopper. One or more agitating members inside the hopper to enable the projectiles to drop into a firing chamber under the hopper. A hopper cover has a collapsible ceiling with nested members and a ceiling plate to maintain the projectiles toward the bottom of the hopper. A catch coupled to the ceiling plate engages an opening in a hopper wall to prevent the ceiling from collapsing when the hopper cover is closed. Where there are multiple vertically spaced-apart openings in the hopper wall, the catch may disengage from a first opening, and then engage a lower, second opening in the hopper wall, as the number of projectiles in the hopper drops and the ceiling plate descends in the hopper. A rotating track and a push rod advance projectiles from the firing chamber to flywheels for launch.

  • Patent number: 10648763
Abstract: A toy projectile launcher capable of launching a substantially large number of projectiles, for example, toy foam darts. To increase the number of projectiles that can be launched between reloadings, the projectiles are housed in a hopper. The hopper may include a movable rear wall which facilitates the loading of a large number of projectiles into the hopper at one time. A portion of a side wall of the hopper may be agitated to loosen the projectiles within the hopper so that they will drop into a firing chamber of the launcher more easily. A cover for the hopper may have a collapsible ceiling to prevent the projectiles from becoming improperly oriented in the hopper as they are being loosened by the agitated portion of the side wall of the hopper. A rotating track and a push rod may cooperate to advance projectiles from a firing chamber of the launcher.

  • Patent number: 10533821
Abstract: A toy launcher for toy projectiles includes a drum having two concentric rings of holders with an angular offset between adjacent concentric rings, and motorized flywheels to launch the projectiles. The launcher also includes an assembly for pushing projectiles in the drum toward the flywheels for launch, including a separate pushing rod for each of the concentric rings to advance one projectile at a time toward the flywheels. Both pushing rods are simultaneously pushed when a trigger is pressed, but only one projectile at a time is launched because while one pushing rod advances a projectile, the other pushing rod is blocked by a structure on the drum. Successive presses of the trigger cause projectiles to be launched in an alternating sequence in which one projectile at a time is launched first from a first concentric ring, then from a second concentric ring, then from the first concentric ring.
