  • Patent number: 9759389
Abstract: A LED lamp has a non-optically transmissive base connected to an optically transmissive enclosure. A LED assembly emits light when energized through an electrical path from the base. A portion of the heat sink and lamp electronics extend from the base and into the enclosure such that at least an upper portion of the heat sink extends into the interior volume defined by the enclosure. The LED assembly is supported on top of the heat sink such that the LEDs are disposed in the volume of the enclosure. An optic element extends over the LEDs and at least the portion of the heat sink. The size of the non-optically transmissive base of the lamp is reduced relative to the optically transmissive enclosure such that a greater ratio of optically transmissive view space to non-optically transmissive base is provided.

  • Patent number: 9021771
Abstract: A vacuum and sealing appliance comprises a heat sealing element for sealing a container during a sealing cycle. A controller controls the temperature of the heat sealing element during the sealing cycle based on a signal from a temperature sensor that senses the real-time temperature of the heat sealing element. A seal indicator light is provided which is lighted during the sealing cycle and extinguished at its completion. The signal from the controller energizes the heating element for a time to heat the sealing element to a pre-determined temperature for sealing the container and initiates a dwell time corresponding to cooling the heating element after sealing the container. Values of the real-time temperatures of the heat sealing element and values of the sealing times and the dwell times that correspond to the values of the real-time temperatures of the heat sealing element are stored in a look-up table.

  • Patent number: 7290051
Abstract: A verification mechanism monitors incoming and outgoing traffic between a channel adapter and a switch fabric in an InfiniBandSM system in order to verify that the InfiniBandSM protocol is correctly followed by the channel adapter. The verification mechanism uses a simple hardware-independent interface to query the channel adapter hardware for specific values and completion queue, queue pair and work queue element attributes that are required for verification. The verification mechanism creates a plurality of verification components that monitor incoming and outgoing messages and verify that each of the channel adapter elements correctly follows the protocol. The verification mechanism is controlled by a verification application programming interface (API) that allows different test benches and tests to incorporate InfiniBandSM protocol verification in any test system for use with any hardware.

  • Publication number: 20020169815
Abstract: A network layer verification mechanism (NLVM) is inserted between DUTs or between a DUT and the test bench components in order to simulate conditions that can occur in a packetized network connection, such as dropped packets, duplicate packets, corrupted packets out-of-order packets and delayed packets. The NLVM has internal storage and an application programmer interface (API) which can be driven by the test bench and comprises a plurality of methods that allow packets received by the NLVM to be selectively forwarded through the object, temporarily stored in the object or the packet data to be corrupted. The NLVM is implemented as an object with an interface that is independent of the simulation configuration so that verification test benches and tests can be written with no reliance on bus functional models and environment-specific details.
