  • Publication number: 20250125069
Abstract: A method of extending the usable length of a power-over-ethernet cable includes the steps of providing twisted pairs of wires with the conductor of each wire being a 20 AWG or 22 AWG conductor and terminating the cable at an RJ-45 style connector. The connector for the 20 AWG conductors has an insert therein with holes that can accommodate 20 AWG conductors. FEP, PVC or PP insulation may surround each conductor.

  • Patent number: 9640051
Abstract: A security loop cable assembly is attached to the distal end of the main cable of an alarm system. The assembly has an enclosure with a main electrical connector inside the enclosure. The main cable terminates at the main connector. The enclosure releasably receives a polarized plug assembly that contains the ends of a loop cable. The plug assembly includes a housing and a case that are selectively joined. Inside the case two of the wires of the loop cable are permanently joined to opposite sides of an end-of-line resistor. The housing and case can be momentarily separated to thread one of them through an aperture in the protected object or gate. The plug assembly can be removably inserted into the enclosure, whereupon the main cable connector engages a loop connector to form an electrical circuit through the first and second wires and the end-of-line resistor.

  • Patent number: 9595176
Abstract: An inventory protection system has a plurality of cable segments with connectors on the ends thereof. The connectors permit pairs of cable segments to be releasably mechanically and electrically connectable to one another to form a continuous cable loop. A circuit connected to the cable loop periodically generates a test signal in the cable loop and checks to see if the test signal is able to travel all the way around the cable loop. The circuit generates an alarm signal if the test signal cannot travel all the way around the cable loop.

  • Patent number: 4145726
Abstract: A video disc package includes a jacket having a record enclosing cavity and an end access opening in communication therewith. A record retaining member, comprising a spine and an annular element, is reciprocably mounted within the cavity. A portion of the spine extends into the end access opening and a further portion of the spine protrudes beyond the edges of the jacket defining the end access opening when the record retaining member is fully inserted into the jacket. The annular element has a through opening for receiving a record. Indicia is secured to the protruding portion of the spine for associating a given side of the spine with the first side of an enclosed record and the other side of the spine with the second side of the enclosed record. The record is enclosed within the package such that its first side is adjacent to the given side of the spine and its second side is contiguous to the other side of the spine.
