  • Patent number: 9304576
Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and/or methods may provide power management. An attachment portion may secure an apparatus to a user. In one example, an apparatus includes a wearable wristwatch having a wristband attachment portion. A context corresponding to a user state may be determined from context data such as, for example, sensor context data, database context data, companion context data, and/or user context data. The context may be used to specify a power mode applicable to a part of the apparatus to manage power.

  • Patent number: 5479129
Abstract: An electronically-controlled variable propagation delay digital signal inverter comprises a digital signal inverter having an input signal port and an output signal port, and an electronically-controlled negative resistance (ECNR). The ECNR is coupled to the output port of the inverter in a configuration so as to render the propagation delay of the digital signal inverter capable of being varied by varying the resistance of the ECNR. The electronically-controlled variable propagation delay digital signal inverter may be included in a ring oscillator configuration.

  • Patent number: 5448200
Abstract: A master-slave differential comparator having a threshold value. The master section controls the threshold value of the slave section. The slave section is controlled by bias currents therein to matching same in the master section. The bias currents are substantially determined by fixed biases applied to the master section, the difference in biases being substantially equal to the threshold value of the comparator.

  • Patent number: 5373248
Abstract: A transconductor includes first and second differential pair compound transistors coupled between a first reference node and a common node. The compound transistors are commoned to each other at a common node. A single current source is coupled between the common node and a second reference node. In an alternate embodiment, a current turnaround circuit may be used to convert the transconductor to a single ended configuration.

  • Patent number: 5177360
Abstract: Art objects are authenticated by using a pair of sealed radioactive sources emitting identical gamma ray spectra unique to that pair. One of the sources is attached to a particular, assigned art object. The surface of the other source is engraved with information relevant to the identity of the particular art object. At a late date, the gamma ray spectra of both sources are obtained and compared, and if they are identical, the art object is authenticated.

  • Patent number: 5065050
Abstract: An emitter-coupled logic (ECL) buffer circuit using two differential pairs of transistors to limit the output voltage of the buffer to ECL signal levels. A first differential pair of transistors couples the current from a first current source to load resistors in the buffer, thereby establishing the output voltage for the logical "low" output. The second differential pair couples the current from a second current source, having a current less than the current from the first current source, to the load resistors to establish the output voltage for the logical "high" output.

  • Patent number: 4734654
Abstract: A simple CMOS linear, tunable, high-frequency transconductance element is described. By using a pair of composite n-channel/p-channel devices, the transconductance circuit achieves its linearity by current differencing without undue matching requirements. The circuit configurations use current differencing to cancel the square-law nonlinearities of the field effect transistors and require approximate matching between transistors of the same type.
