  • Publication number: 20190183431
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are provided to predict or diagnose an ischemic event, such as a stroke or a transient ischemic attack (TIA). A machine-learning model such as a neural network is generated that allows for recognition of an ECG consistent with an ischemic event. A system is trained and used to process a recording of ECG data from a patient to generate a prediction indicating a likelihood that the patient will experience a stroke. In other examples, a system is trained and used to process a recording of ECG data from a patient and detect an ischemic event for the patient who did not appear to have such an ischemic event.

  • Publication number: 20190062837
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of screening a mammal for the onset or predisposition to the onset of a neuropsychiatric disorder. More particularly, the present invention provides a method of screening a mammal for the onset or predisposition to the onset of schizophrenia by screening for a decrease in the functional level of protein 1 4-3-3?. In a related aspect, the present invention also provides a means of monitoring a patient diagnosed with a neuropsychiatric disorder, such as schizophrenia, by screening for changes to functional levels of protein 14-3-3 ?. This may be useful, for example, in the context of evaluating the effectiveness of a prophylactic or therapeutic treatment regime or otherwise monitoring the impact of physiological or metabolic changes which may occur in a patient.

  • Publication number: 20180367074
Abstract: A genset including at least one generator for generating electrical energy, which can be driven by a drive device is provided. Also provided is a detection device for detection of the presence of a grid fault in at least one phase of the power grid, a device for determining an operating state of the generator immediately before or upon detection of a grid fault, and a regulating device, to which the signals of the detection device and the device for determining an operating state of the generator can be fed. The regulating device is designed upon detection of a grid fault to reduce the power of the drive device in dependence of that operating state of the generator, which has been determined immediately before or upon detection of the grid fault.

  • Publication number: 20180325287
Abstract: The invention relates to an optimized folding display, comprising two facing main side panels (1, 2), a traverse assembly (3) formed by narrow and elongated rectangular boards of semi-flexible sheet material, and fixing means (11, 12, 13, 14) for keeping the traverses fixed to the outer surface of the corresponding side panel (1, 2). The traverses (3) have their planes separated a given distance, so they form an articulated rhombus which can diagonally be closed from an expanded position into a folded position. Furthermore, the display has at least one shelf element (15) located between the two side panels (1, 2) and resting flat on the traverses (3) located at a similar height, forming a shelving assembly.

  • Patent number: 9931847
Abstract: A printer is disclosed herein. The printer has a printhead having a plurality of ink nozzles for ejecting ink, a servicing mechanism for capturing the ejected ink from the ink nozzles, to service the printhead, and a control device coupled to the printhead and the servicing mechanism for regulating the servicing. As part of the regulation, the control device continues feeding a substrate towards the printhead during an idle period. The idle period of the printhead can be a duration when printing on the substrate is suspended. Further, the control device regulates ejection of ink from the ink nozzles towards the substrate during the idle period and operates the servicing mechanism during the idle period. In an example, the servicing mechanism captures the ink before the ink reaches the substrate.

  • Patent number: 9848184
Abstract: Systems and methods for a head tracked stereoscopic display system that uses light field type data may include receiving light field type data corresponding to a scene. The stereoscopic display system may track a user's head. Using the received light field type data and the head tracking, the system may generate three dimensional (3D) virtual content that corresponds to a virtual representation of the scene. The stereoscopic display system may then present the 3D virtual content to a user. The stereoscopic display system may present a left eye perspective image and a right eye perspective image of the scene to the user based on the position and orientation of the user's head. The images presented to the user may be updated based on a change in the position or the orientation of the user's head or based on receiving user input.
