  • Patent number: 6104115
Abstract: In a method for fabricating a permanent magnet rotor for an electrical machine, a rotor support having an axis of rotation is provided. At least two poles are provided on the rotor support, each pole having at least one permanent magnet. A screen made essentially from a highly conducting material is provided on the surface of the permanent magnets facing a stator of the electrical machine. The screen is applied galvanically. On the screen an annular fiber reinforced support is fitted. The rotor support comprises two partially conical parts interacting with each other to prestress the rotor radially.

  • Patent number: 5713246
Abstract: Method for applying an energy-storing flywheel (2) with pre-tension with an inner bore on a coaxial support (16) rotating symmetrically with the latter and having a tapering outer surface, in which a ring (22a, 22b, 22c, 22d) is placed in the flywheel bore with a tapering inner surface, of which the taper corresponds with that of the support (16) and the entire unit thus obtained is shifted on the support (16) until the desired pre-tension is obtained. In accordance with the invention both the inner bore of the flywheel (18a, 18b, 18c, 18d) and the outer surface of the ring (22a, 22b, 22c, 22d), which co-operate, have a design with a corresponding taper. Furthermore. The invention includes a clamping ring (22a), which can be used when using this method, having a tapering inner surface, the outer surface, intended for functioning with the flywheel being also conical.

  • Patent number: 5634381
Abstract: A flange (6) for coupling a cylindrical element (4) to be driven at a high rotational speed with an inner, and coaxial, rotating axle (2), comprising a first cylindrical inner part (26) connected with the axle, and connected via a connecting part (12), to a cylindrical radially outer part (20, 10) which bears the cylindrical part (4), with which it is intended to accomplish to retain a good contact, also at high rotational speeds, between this outer surface (10) and the rotor (4) carried on it. For this purpose the connecting part (6) in the invention is formed by two disc-shaped parts (14, 16) situated at a distance from one another in an axial and radial direction, the outermost (14) of which is connected to the outer part (20) via an essentially right-angled transition, the innermost (16) of which is connected to the inner part (26) via an essentially right-angled transition, and which are connected to one another via an intermediary part (24) via an essentially right-angled transition.
