  • Patent number: 6521587
Abstract: A foam control agent, comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane material having at least one silicon-bonded substituent of the formula X-Ph, wherein X denotes a divalent aliphatic organic group bonded to silicon through a carbon atom and Ph denotes an optionally substituted aromatic group, (B) a water-insoluble organic fluid, (C) an organosilicon resin and (D) a hydrophobic filler. The foam control agent may be provided as an emulsion or as a particulate material. It is especially useful as a detergent foam control agent.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6521586
Abstract: A foam control agent comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane material having at least one silicon-bonded substituent of the formula X—Ph, wherein X denotes a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group and Ph denotes an optionally substituted aromatic group, (B) an organosilicon resin and (C) a hydrophobic filler. The organosilicon resin (B) preferably consists of siloxane units of the formula R′aSiO4−a/2 wherein R′ denotes a hydroxyl, hydrocarbon or hydrocarbonoxy group, particularly trialkylsiloxy units and SiO4/2 units, wherein a has a value of from 0.5 to 2.4. The foam control agent may be provided as an emulsion or as a particulate material. It is especially useful as a detergent foam control agent.

  • Patent number: 6399559
Abstract: This invention relates to organosilyl peroxide compounds which are stable in aqueous systems and are used for bleaching and cleaning applications. More particularly, this invention is concerned with the stability of bis(organosilyl)peroxides when formulated in aqueous and non-aqueous delivery systems. The liquid detergents containing the organosilyl peroxide compounds of this invention exhibit excellent bleaching performance and stain removal properties on fabrics at typical low wash temperatures.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 30, 2000
Date of Patent: June 4, 2002
Assignees: Dow Corning Corporation, Dow Corning SA

  • Patent number: 6362159
Abstract: A domestic care product comprising a fragrance particle wherein the particle comprises a fragrance composition and at least one silicone polymer having a melting point of at least 10° C., provided that at least 20% of the silicone atoms in the silicone polymer have a substituent of 16 carbon atoms or more. The fragrance may be employed in relatively small proportions and yet deliver fragrance to a domestic care product over a prolonged period of time by use these silicone polymers.
