Abstract: A container including sealed walls for containing a liquid, one of the walls forming a container bottom, the container bottom including a plurality of partitions defining therebetween areas contained consecutively inside one another, each of the areas communicating with an adjacent contained area via a passage including a threshold. The threshold of the passage between one area and an adjacent contained area is a low point of the area and a high point of the adjacent contained area, for any given area. The passage between the given area and the area in which the given area is contained, and the passage between the given area and the area contained within the given area are arranged in angular sectors defined by imaginary geometric angles opposed at the vertex thereof, the vertex being located in line with a lower-level area of the container, the angles having a size of less than 45°.

  • Patent number: 9353660
Abstract: There is provided a system for storing and injecting an additive into exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine, the system comprising a tank for storing the additive, an injector, and a pump for driving the additive from the tank to the injector via an injection channel, the system also comprising a purge device mounted between the pump and the injection channel. The purge device comprises a chamber and piston moving equipment slidably mounted in the chamber, the purge device being designed so that: movement of the moving equipment in one of its sliding directions causes a passage to open into the chamber for passing the additive to the injection channel; and movement of the moving equipment in its other sliding direction creates suction within the chamber, which causes at least some of the additive contained in the injection channel to return into the chamber.

  • Patent number: 8631556
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a plastic fuel tank including: introducing a parison into mold cavities; introducing a core inside the parison, where the core is first fitted with a swirl pot having a housing for the pump; closing the mold so that the cavities come into leaktight contact with the core; pressing the parison against the cavities by blowing through the core and/or applying a vacuum behind the cavities; fastening the swirl pot to the parison using a device attached to the core; molding the parison by blow molding and/or thermoforming; unmolding the tank, and mounting a pump in the housing of the swirl pot. The mounting of the pump is achieved by way of an intermediate part, the external shape of which is standard and complementary to that of the housing, and the internal shape of which is adapted to the pump.
