Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a bicycle transmission system with variable ratio, having at least one gearshift device, two control actuating devices, and a relay device for guiding the gearshift device(s) from the control actuating devices, and a bicycle equipped with such apparatus. Each control actuating device has an actuation member located within the reach of each of the cyclist's hands, and it is provided to transmit only one type of control, one of the actuating devices being capable of transmitting an upshift control and the other a downshift control of the transmission ratio.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a golf club of the iron type having an improved mass distribution. More particularly, the rear portion of the club head has a main cavity extending towards the striking face and a peripheral mass belt extending around the main cavity defining heel, toe, upper and lower perimeter portions. The upper perimeter portion of the peripheral mass belt includes an elongated recess which is progressively connected to the upper edge portion of the club head along an undercut, the undercut having a height that generally increases in a direction toward the toe and a thickness with respect to the striking face that increases progressively in a direction toward the upper edge portion.

The polished part corresponds at least to the surface subjected principally to friction with the ground, and the other part corresponds at least to the surface of the body visible to the golfer when he or she addresses the ball, except for a lower polished zone of the front face, which extends from the striking edge and whose boundary with the upper sandblasted or paint-covered zone forms a substantially horizontal line of demarcation separating the face, when the head rests on the ground for the address of the ball.
