  • Patent number: 9737410
Abstract: An intervertebral prosthesis for insertion by posterior approach, designed to be inserted in pairs between two vertebral bodies, said prosthesis consisting of a prosthesis body extending in a longitudinal direction of intervertebral insertion, including peripheral faces delimiting, on the inside, an inner space for receiving a bone substitute. The prosthesis includes a prosthesis body of which the lower and upper bearing faces have a convex profile having continuously variable convexity in the longitudinal direction. The invention is intended for the treatment of individuals suffering from disc degeneration in the thoracic or lumbar vertebrae.

  • Patent number: 8506632
Abstract: An implant that allows immobilization of one vertebra in relation to another, having two lateral walls essentially parallel one with respect to the other and having a length, and at least one transverse wall connecting these lateral walls one to the other, at least one of these lateral walls having, on its side facing the side opposite the other lateral wall, slide prevention reliefs. The invention, the implant has, in a direction perpendicular to the length of the lateral walls, a dimension such that its two lateral walls are capable of coming into the immediate vicinity of the unci of the underlying vertebrae, the slide prevention reliefs of each of lateral wall thus being able to bear against the internal surface of the uncus of the underlying vertebra adjacent this lateral wall.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 13, 2013
    Assignee: Medicrea International

  • Patent number: 6290703
Abstract: A bone fixing device, in particular for fixing to the sacrum for osteosynthesis of the backbone. An elongate link receives at least one bone-fastening screw, which passes through an orifice formed in the link. In the bottom of the link there is a bearing surface of essentially circular cross-section. The head of the screw includes an essentially spherical surface for bearing against the bearing surface. The link includes a first thread in the vicinity of the orifice. The device further includes a plug having a second thread suitable for co-operating with the first thread. The plus is suitable for coming into clamping contact against said screw head to hold it in a desired angular position. The link is constituted by a single-piece plate-shaped element having the orifice and the first thread formed therein, with the bearing surface being essentially spherical.

  • Patent number: 6022350
Abstract: A bone fixing device, in particular for fixing to the sacrum for osteosynthesis of the backbone, comprises elongate link means receiving at least one bone-fastening screw, which passes through an orifice formed in the link means. In the bottom of the link means there is included a bearing surface of essentially circular cross-section. The head of the screw includes an essentially spherical surface for bearing against said bearing surface. The link means include a first thread in the vicinity of said orifice. The device further includes a plug having a second thread suitable for co-operating with the first thread, the plug being suitable for coming into clamping contact against said screw head to hold it in a desired angular position. According to the invention, the link means are constituted by a single-piece plate-shaped element having the orifice and the first thread formed therein, and said bearing surface is essentially spherical.
