Abstract: A method is provided for transforming a first transport level address into a second transport level address: the first address representing at least one digital data broadcasting service from at least one non-meshed broadcasting network and comprising data identifying the at least one digital data broadcasting service; the second address including a source field and/or a destination field in datagrams addressed to at least one communication network. The method includes the following steps: recovering data identifying the at least one digital data broadcasting service; inserting at least part of the identifying data in the second address of the datagrams.

Abstract: Data associated with transmitted information over a communication network are transmitted. The data are divided into data groups. An information item representative of the importance of the data of the data group is associated with each data group. A transmission cycle for the data groups is determined. Each data group is inserted into the determined transmission cycle a number of times depending on the importance of the data of the data group.

Abstract: In a network, which comprises an entity (11) for broadcasting digital contents and a server (10) storing auxiliary data to be associated with at least one digital content, at least one digital content is broadcast to terminals. At least one terminal command is broadcast in this digital content. At the level of a terminal (14) of the network, the digital content broadcast is received (21); said terminal command is extracted (22) from said digital content received; and the terminal command is executed (23, 24) by requesting from said server the auxiliary data associated with the digital content.

Abstract: A method of distributing data in a multicast network comprising one or more multicast groups. The method uses a remote advertisement server adapted to make available to one or more receivers useful data relating to one or more data source servers, each data source server being adapted to deliver data to one or more multicast groups. Said useful data can be read subsequently in order for one or more of these source servers then to be chosen by means of selection means. Also disclosed are an advertisement server and a system for implementing the method.
