    Abstract: An assembly for mounting a steering wheel on the steering column of an automobile, the assembly including first flutes formed at the steering wheel and adapted to be fitted into second flutes extending along the steering column and a fastening screw adapted for engagement through the steering wheel and for interaction with a tapping formed axially at the end of the steering column. Once inserted through the steering wheel, the fastening screw can be screwed into the tapping if and only if the first flutes and the second flutes are at least partially engaged.
