Abstract: A capillary writing tip that includes a body extending from a base along a central axis (Z) to a peak, the body having a main face with a maximum dimension (L) measured transversally with respect to the central axis and delimited by a main base edge adjacent to the base, as well as by a first and a second substantially straight peak edge, which meet at the peak and are of respective lengths (l) less than the maximum length. The body also has a first secondary face delimited by, among other things, the first peak edge; a second secondary face delimited by, among other things, the second peak edge; the first and second secondary faces presenting a substantially straight common edge extending from the peak to a lower end adjacent to the base, the common edge having a length (m) which is different from the maximum width (L) and from the length (l) of the first and second peak edges.

Abstract: A retractable writing instrument that includes a barrel, a writing tip, an actuating mechanism that includes a plurality of parts for extending and retracting the writing tip upon actuation of the actuation member, and a cushioning device enabling a retraction of the writing tip when an excessive pressure is exerted by a user. The cushioning device includes a spring member elastically deformable, which is integrally formed with a movable part of the actuating mechanism, the part being movable relative to the barrel. The spring member has a free end abutting the barrel toward its rear end and has a through hole. A stem extends within the spring member's hole and connects the actuating member to the actuating mechanism.

Abstract: A writing instrument that includes a barrel having a front end, a fluid reservoir compartment, and a longitudinal axis. The writing instrument further includes a head disposed at the front end of the barrel where the head has a front part with an opening and at least one rib having a peak; a capillary connector having a front portion, a main portion having a diameter, a rear portion having a diameter, and a radial shoulder, where the capillary connector extends from the front part of the head to the fluid reservoir compartment; and a ring substantially coaxial with the longitudinal axis and disposed at a distance from the opening in the front part of the head. At least one air passage is formed between the ring and the barrel and the at least on rib extends in a radial direction between the ring and the barrel.

Abstract: A frictional clutch for a correction device includes a rotatable supply reel with a circular center opening and a rotatable take-up reel being laterally arranged spaced apart from the supply reel, the take-up reel having an outer circumferential surface onto which a correction tape is to be wound up and the supply reel having an outer circumferential surface from which the correction tape is to be wound off, wherein the outer circumferential surface of the supply reel is provided with a circumferential radial groove in which an elastic tensioning element is accommodated, the radial circumferential groove being at its bottom at least partially transected such that the elastic tensioning element projects into the center opening secantically, when it is in a stress-relieved condition.

Abstract: A hand-held device for transferring a film of material from a backing tape onto a substrate that includes a housing having a first housing member and a second housing member, as well as an application member around which the tape is guided and which is designed to be pressed against a substrate in order to transfer the film. The first and second housing member are mounted telescopically with each other such that in an extended position one of the housing members cover the application member and in a pushed-back position the application member is exposed for usage.

Abstract: A frictional clutch for a hand-held device for transferring a film from a backing tape onto a substrate comprises a first main member having a cylindrical element coaxially protruding into a circular center opening of a second main member. The first and second main member are supported such that they can carry out a relative rotational movement. The second main member include coaxial tensioning elements for holding and pre-tensioning an elastic ring guided around the tensioning elements. The tensioning elements are geometrically arranged such that the ring is exposed in the form of at least one secant-shaped leg in the center opening. The secant-shaped leg of the ring is biased radially outwards when the cylindrical element of the first main member is inserted into the center opening of the second member in order to produce a frictional force between the ring and the circumferential wall of the cylindrical element.
