  • Patent number: 9030796
Abstract: A system for supplying direct current and DC voltage is provided. The system comprise a first supply branch having a first DC voltage source and a power field-effect transistor of a current limiter which are connected in series, and a second supply branch having a second DC voltage source. The power transistor has a current/voltage characteristic with a first inverse polarization area without current limitation, and a second conduction area with current limitation based on a current threshold. The power field-effect transistor is connected to the first voltage source with an inverse polarization when the voltage source of the first branch is operating normally.

  • Publication number: 20140231230
Abstract: A short-circuiting switch for an electrical energy production installation is provided. The short-circuiting switch comprising at least one photovoltaic panel is adapted for simultaneously establishing a short-circuit at the installation ends and a short-circuit at the ends of an electrical network connected to the installation ends. It comprises an element, mobile in rotation about an axis between a first position, in which two conducting tracks of the mobile element which are distinct conduct the current between, on one hand, a first terminal connected to the installation and a first terminal connected to the network, and, on the other hand, a second terminal connected to the installation and a second terminal connected to the network, and a second position in which the mobile element simultaneously establishes and maintains the short-circuit at the ends of the installation and at the ends of the network and electrically isolates the installation from the network.

  • Publication number: 20130250467
Abstract: The invention relates to a power transistor for protecting, by limiting current, an electrical power supply, including one or more basic power vertical-junction field-effect transistors (602). Each basic power vertical junction field-effect transistor (602) includes at least one semiconductor depletion region (618, 620) forming a partially buried gate that defines a vertical channel (622) inside a first region (612). Each basic transistor includes a semiconductor depletion region (618, 620) forming an upper surface gate that is not buried, and defining a side channel inside a region (612) vertically adjacent to the first region.

  • Publication number: 20130241317
Abstract: This short-circuiting device establishes and maintains a short-circuit across the terminals of a photovoltaic array having at least one photovoltaic panel. It comprises a member designed, on a given signal, to establish and maintain a short-circuit between two electrically conductive tracks each connected to a terminal of the photovoltaic panels of the photovoltaic array. The short-circuiting device furthermore comprises an indicator that the short circuit has been established and is being maintained, the means being mechanically activated by the member designed to establish and maintain the short-circuit. The indicator includes a warning light independent of the member and establishing and maintaining the short-circuit, and that can move, under the action of an elastic member, between a retracted position, in which it indicates that electrical power is being produced by the array, and a visible position, indicating that a short-circuit has been established and is maintained between the tracks.

  • Publication number: 20120299309
Abstract: The invention relates to a facility (20) for producing electric current using solar radiation, which is built into a building (1) and includes at least one photovoltaic generator (22) as well as a short-circuiting switch (80) suitable for establishing and maintaining a short-circuit across the terminals (24, 26) of the photovoltaic generator (22) by means of an electrically conductive connector. The short-circuiting switch (80) is activated by a control means (66) arranged in a pre-determined portion (60) of the building (1) or the surroundings thereof. According to the security method of the invention, a short-circuit is established and maintained across the terminals (24, 26) of the photovoltaic generator (22) by means of an electrically conductive connector, thus preventing a power grid (4) specific to the building from remaining supplied with current and live.
