  • Patent number: 11892524
Abstract: A magnetic field sensor includes a magnetic field sensing element to generate a magnetic field signal indicative of a sensed magnetic field, a modulator to modulate the magnetic field signal at a chopping frequency, a front end amplifier coupled to receive the magnetic field signal and generate an amplified signal, and a demodulator configured to demodulate the amplified signal at the chopping frequency. The sensor further includes a low pass filter to process the amplified signal and generate a low pass filtered signal and a Schmitt trigger circuit. The Schmitt trigger circuit includes a comparator having a first input coupled to receive the low pass filtered signal, a second input coupled to receive a reference signal, and an output at which a comparator output signal is provided. The comparator is configured to perform a plurality of comparisons within a chopping time period that is the inverse of the chopping frequency.

  • Patent number: 11333718
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for a magnetic field sensor having dynamic offset compensation that determines offset voltages for a number of phases each having a bias current across a magnetic field sensing element in a different direction. Pairs of the determined offset voltages for the phases are combined and one of the combined pairs of offset voltages is selected based on a criteria, such as lowest voltage level.

  • Patent number: 11256288
Abstract: In one aspect, a clock monitor includes a frequency-to-voltage converter (FVC) configured to receive a clock signal and configured to generate a voltage signal in response to the clock signal received. The FVC includes a resistor and a switched capacitor (SC) circuit connected to the resistor to form a resister divider circuit. The switched capacitor circuit includes a capacitor. The clock monitor detects that a clock frequency is zero and/or the clock frequency is not within a frequency range.

  • Patent number: 9645220
Abstract: A magnetic field sensor has a reference magnetic field channel and an external magnetic field channel. The magnetic field sensor uses phase discrimination to isolate a reference-magnetic-field signal component from an external magnetic field signal component in the two channels.

  • Patent number: 8937797
Abstract: An integrated circuit includes circuitry to sense the occurrence of a break in a ground connection and/or supply connection and to indicate same to an exterior environment. In at least one implementation, the break may be indicated by providing a signal on an output terminal of the device that is not associated with a normal output of the device.
