Abstract: A folding ski consists in the possibility of folding the ski itself, by means of a mechanical system contained within it and forming part, to all effects, of the construction of the ski. The innovative mechanism makes it possible to reduce the bulk of the equipment and makes it easier to transport. In addition, not only does it maintain the physical, mechanical and dynamic characteristics required for practicing the various sporting disciplines, but it offers better performance and safety qualities than a traditional ski.
