  • Patent number: 7739888
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and related equipment for manufacturing shaped fabrics or anatomically shaped tubular hosiery and knitwear items, obtained with Raschel looms having preferably two parallel needle beds and automatic latch needles. During the knitting process, by gradually varying the height of the needle bed and of the sinking plane lying above with respect to the needles sliding in the same bed, knitting density can also be suitably changed. As a consequence, concerned anatomic parts such as the bodice and ankles of a pair of tights or a stockings as well as the waist and sleeves of a sweater can be shaped with higher accuracy and effectiveness.

Date of Patent: June 22, 2010

  • Patent number: 6920767
Abstract: The invention relates to tubular knitwear items (1) suitably shaped or modeled without the usual cutting and sewing operations and preferably without using elastic yarns. According to the jacquard design and/or to the work cycle of the textile machine, the invention enables the production of differentiated-growth fabric in specific areas or zones by the programmed exclusion of loops or knitted courses and the simultaneous production of exceeding stitches or inner frills (Bi), thus obtaining a programmed three-dimensional deformation of the knitted tube according to manufacturing needs.

  • Patent number: 6907759
Abstract: The invention relates to tubular knitwear item provided with suitable openings (H) or holes automatically obtained for shoulder straps, neck portions, belts, strings, stripes, knots, loops and the like, i.e. for various applications and purposes, such as anatomic support, and for aesthetic and functional connections also with other manufactured items. The invention co-ordinates the suitable needle selection according to the jacquard design and to the work cycle of the knitting machine and enable, for definite fabric areas and needles (A), the temporary stop of the knitting process and the subsequent stitch discharge, followed by the production of new fabric stitches, also with needle discard and floating yarns (FF) so as to obtain transparent effects and the production of fringes.

  • Patent number: 6739158
Abstract: The invention relates to tubular knitwear items (1) suitably shaped or modeled without the usual cutting/sewing operations, characterized by dimensionally little or non elastic fabric zones, said zones being structurally and functionally connected as a textile frame for anatomic support and control. According to the jacquard design and to the work cycle of the textile machine, the invention enables the production of differentiated-growth fabric in specific areas or zones by means of the programmed exclusion of stitches or knitted courses and the simultaneous production of exceeding stitches or three-dimensional inner frills (Bi), structurally having lower elasticity, thus also obtaining a programmed deformation of the knitted tube.

  • Patent number: 6739159
Abstract: The invention relates to tubular knitwear items provided with suitable openings or holes (H) automatically obtained for shoulder straps (SS, SD), neck portions (GC), belts, strings, stripes, knots (K), loops and the like, i.e. for various applications and purposes, such as anatomic support, and for aesthetic and functional connections and weavings also with other manufactured items. The invention coordinates the suitable needle (A) selection according to the jacquard design and to the work cycle of the knitting machine and enable, for definite fabric areas and needles (A), the temporary stop of the knitting process and the subsequent stitch discharge, followed by the production of new fabric stitches, also with needle discard and floating yarns (FF) so as to obtain transparent effects and the production of fringes.

  • Patent number: 6705128
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for manufacturing three-dimensional tubular knitwear items, preferably provided with shoulder straps, neck portion and/or various openings for feet, legs or arms, manufactured without the usual expensive fabric scraps deriving from the cutting/sewing operations. By means of a suitable selection of needles, or thanks to a particular yarn which melts completely during finishing, according to the jacquard design or to the work cycle of the textile machine, the present invention enables the separation and/or the automatic programmed resumption of knitted courses according to specific zones or areas, thus obtaining at least one opening (5,5A) or shoulder strap, provided with a singe or double welt. The hosiery items are automatically closed on their ends, corresponding to the foot heel or toe, and provided with at least one opening with single or double welt.

  • Patent number: 6460380
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing knitted goods in general, hose in particular, with tridimensional effects or shaped goods, preferably fitted with at least one pocket automatically produced with the continuous motion of the needle cylinder. The usual knitted fabric production is modified by excluding, according to a preestablished order, sequences of needles (retaining the last loop or stitch) that are preferably alternated (1:1-2:2-3:1-etc.), even by groups. The knitted tube production goes on, even over several courses, with a differentiated growing, i.e. regions having full needles or ribs and regions having non-full needles or ribs, forming knitted layers or tubes (5, 6) concentric with the inner knitted tube folded upwardly and only partly interstitched or closed in the horizontal direction. The remaining part, which is open, corresponds to the two-layer pouch-like pocket, being the object of the invention.

  • Patent number: 6145349
Abstract: The invention relates to Jacquard selection in a textile machine characterized by a selection jack (1) provided with a spring (M1) by which, after the preselection phase in which the jacks are guided by a cam inside the cylinder, they move out under the pressure of the spring, thus modifying the path or the functions; or remain contained and/or retained in the cylinder by a selector and/or other member disposed frontally which prevents their moving out. According to circumstances, the selector, even if fixed, can move vertically, horizontally and also radially, with minimum time and space, without lateral impact on the incoming butts and/or jacks. Finally, the actuators, together with the cams of the jacks and/or needles, are incorporated in a modular support to modify the type of selection and/or for textile operations other than the Jacquard type.
