  • Patent number: 11635478
Abstract: A fastening device for releasably fastening a probe (1) to an NMR magnet (2). An insert part (3) fastens the probe to a retaining system (4) connected to the magnet. A force-variable connection is established by the insert part with spring elements (8). The probe fastens to the insert part with rigid retaining elements (6). When closed, a connection without mechanical play exists between the insert part and the retaining elements when the spring elements are under tension. An annular disc-shaped pretensioning element (9) is arranged between the insert part and the retaining system. By rotating the pretensioning element relative to the insert part, the pretensioning element presses on and pretensions the spring elements. When open, the spring elements and the retaining elements are configured to connect with a mechanical play of 0.5 to 5 mm between the insert part and the retaining elements when the spring elements are pretensioned.

  • Patent number: 9903923
Abstract: A transport device for transporting an NMR sample to the probe head (16) of an NMR spectrometer by means of a transport system (12) is characterized in that the transport device comprises a shuttle (15) adapted for use with a transport system. The transport system is structured to transport an HR-NMR sample spinner or an NMR MAS rotor (5). The shuttle includes a locking device for the NMR MAS rotor, the locking device being formed such that the NMR MAS rotor is released by unlocking the locking device and can be transferred to and received by the NMR MAS probe head. It is therefore possible to rapidly change from NMR spectroscopy of liquids to NMR spectroscopy of solids, and vice versa, simply by exchanging the probe head, without converting the transport system.

  • Publication number: 20120240610
Abstract: A cooling device for cooling a test sample has at least two cascade cooling stages, each with at least one coolant line, one compressor (1.1, 2.1), one relief throttle (1.5), one evaporator (6, 7) and one liquefier (3, 6). The coolant line is divided into n partial lines (A, B) between the compressor (2.1) and the liquefier (6) of the last cascade cooling stage, wherein n?2. Each divided n partial line (A, B) has a valve (2.7, 2.8) and an individual relief throttle (2.5, 2.6). The divided partial lines (A, B) are connected to the evaporator (7) of the last cascade cooling stage. This represents a simple possibility of adjusting the cooling temperature without using valves that must be adjusted in a cold state, since such valves are complex and expensive.

  • Publication number: 20120240609
Abstract: A cooling device for cooling a test sample has at least two cascade cooling stages, each with at least one coolant line, one compressor (1.1, 2.1), one relief throttle (1.4, 2.4), one evaporator (6, 7) and one liquefier (3, 6). The cooling device has an additional relief throttle disposed between the evaporator (7) of the last cascade cooling stage and the compressor (2.1) of the last cascade cooling stage. This represents a simple possibility of adjusting the cooling temperature, thereby avoiding the use of valves that can be adjusted at low temperatures, since these are complex and expensive.

  • Patent number: 7718135
Abstract: A sample holder for fixing and transporting a sample vial (1) within an NMR configuration comprising an outer shell (4) and a continuous hollow space disposed inside the outer shell (4) and extending along its axis for receiving the sample vial, is characterized in that a clamping device that can be switched on and off and a switching element (6) are provided inside the hollow space, wherein, in the activated state, the clamping device fixes a sample vial (1) that is introduced into the sample holder, the switching element (6) can be operated from the outside, and the clamping device can be deactivated using the switching element (6) such that, in the deactivated state, the sample vial (1) inserted into- or removed from the sample holder is not fixed. Such a sample holder may be used to realize an automatic supply device for changing NMR sample vials which has a very compact structure and can be mounted using little space.

  • Publication number: 20080179275
Abstract: A cap (1; 51) for an NMR sample tube (52) having an inner bore (3) for receiving an open end (54) of an NMR sample tube (52), wherein the inner bore (3) has a narrowing for sealing a received NMR sample tube (52) against the cap (1; 51) along the outer periphery of the NMR sample tube (52), is characterized in that the narrowing is designed as an inner sealing lip (4). The cap provides good sealing between the cap and the NMR tube, and the cap can be produced from a plurality of materials, in particular, materials with good chemical resistance to NMR solvents.
