  • Publication number: 20170004435
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for providing team-level metrics data, the method comprising for each member of a team, collecting sensor data originating from a plurality of sensors, and locally processing the collected sensor data to provide data representative of an individual functional assessment; wirelessly obtaining each of the data representative of an individual functional assessment and processing each of the obtained data representative of an individual functional assessment to generate data representative of a functional state of the team.

  • Patent number: 7158227
Abstract: A laser-induced fluorescence analysis device (1), comprising a tube (2) including a channel, elements projecting an excitation light (13), optical collecting member (7), optical measurement elements (8) and a processing member (9) for producing an analysis result, the collecting member being mechanically coupled to one end of the channel, the tube being integrally made of a material with refractive index either lower than that of water, or higher than both that of water and that of ambient air so as to guide the fluorescence light along the channel in the channel and/or its wall up to the collecting member, which is designed to collect the fluorescence light propagated along the longitudinal direction of the channel.

  • Publication number: 20050000812
Abstract: An integrated apparatus includes a miniaturized flattened support having a planar surface whereon are formed wells and a microchannel, elements for projecting exciting light locally on an excitation zone of the microchannel along a direction forming an angle (?) greater than 60° with a longitudinal direction of the microchannel, optical collector elements coupled with one free end of the microchannel, optical measurement elements and processing elements, the microchannel having a portion forming a reservoir with internal cross-section flaring from its free end up to the excitation zone, the portion being extended by a conical, ellipsoidal or paraboloidal internal wall, and emerging onto a second microchannel portion with reduced internal cross-section, the latter communication with the wells.

  • Publication number: 20040239924
Abstract: The invention concerns a laser-induced fluorescence analysis device (1), comprising a tube (2) including a channel, means projecting, an excitation light (13), optical collecting means (7), optical measurement means (8) and a processing means (9) for producing an analysis result, said collecting means being mechanically coupled to one end of the channel, the tube being integrally made of a material with refractive index either lower than that of water, or higher than both that of water and that of ambient air so as to guide the fluorescence light along said channel in said channel and/or its wall up to the collecting means, which is designed to collect the fluorescence light propagated along the longitudinal direction of the channel.

  • Patent number: 5926271
Abstract: A laser-induced fluorescence detector comprises a laser beam emitting device, a dichroic mirror to deviate the laser light orthogonally, a lens with a small numerical aperture, a ball lens, a unique cell within a capillary, the cell receiving a solute containing at least one unknown fluorescent substance at the laser wavelength, the same device collecting the fluorescence emitted by the fluorescent substance, with optical filters, a photomultiplier tube, and a computer for displaying results of the analysis. The ball lens converts the laser beam into a very small divergent beam, which allows a high irradiated volume in the capillary cell. The cell employs controlled geometric contours to prevent laminar mixing and turbulence during liquid flow, and the collecting device is a high numerical aperture device, for example, a ball lens.

  • Patent number: 4137283
Abstract: The pneumatic element which causes partial opening of the choke valve is connected to the intake pipe by a duct having a calibrated restriction. The duct opens into the pipe at a point which is located downstream of the throttle valve under all operating conditions and at another point which is downstream of the throttle when the latter is in the "cold" minimum opening position.
