Abstract: High- or medium-voltage equipment comprising an induction-activated portion, a tank surrounding the active portion and filled with a dielectric fluid, such as oil, and passive acoustic reduction means for reducing acoustic waves coming from the active portion and propagating in the dielectric fluid. According to the invention, the passive means create an interference field that divides the propagated waves into two groups of waves of opposite phase that interfere with each other in a zone that is at a distance from the walls of the tank so as to at least limit the amplitude of the waves before they make contact with said walls. The equipment provides an effective solution for significantly reducing the noise that is propagated by the dielectric fluid medium.

Abstract: This IC card reader (1) is intended to release the software workload of a smart IC card (2) which itself supervises the running of its transaction. It contains in memory (141) a library of programs which define visual, audio or other objects that are displayed on the display means and are executed by its circuit (14) with microcontroller (140) and memory (141) in response to a call from the connected IC card (2). By virtue of this library of programs, the IC card reader (1) provides a connected IC card (2) with a particularly sophisticated man-machine interface accessible using simplified commands. The object program calls are advantageously accompanied by parameters allowing the way in which the objects are defined and animated to be adjusted at leisure.

Abstract: Disclosed is a three-plate type coupler providing for the partial tapping, by means of plungers, of a microwave energy which is propagated in a guide. The coupler has mechanical means to vary the height of the central conductor of the three-plate structure at the level at which the plungers are fixed, thus causing a variation in the penetration of the plungers in the waveguide and, consequently, a variation in the coupling.
