  • Patent number: 11978083
Abstract: Certain exemplary embodiments described herein relate to digital downloading jukebox systems of the type that typically include a central server and remote jukebox devices that communicate with the central server for royalty accounting and/or content updates. More particularly, certain exemplary embodiments relate to jukebox systems that have revenue-enhancing features such as for example, music recommendation engines and bartender loyalty programs. Such innovative techniques help to both increase per jukebox revenue as well as keep jukebox patrons engaged with the jukebox.

  • Publication number: 20200111335
Abstract: Techniques for detecting object motion within a monitored scene are disclosed. In an embodiment, an infrared motion sensing device can include an infrared detector configured to receive infrared radiation from the monitored scene within a detection field of view and to generate an output waveform signal indicative of time-dependent variations in the received infrared radiation in response to object motion within the detection field of view. The infrared motion sensing device can also include a processor configured to receive the output waveform signal generated by the infrared detector and perform a signal analysis based on the output waveform signal to determine whether a motion event has occurred, which can involve finding a match between the output waveform signal and the one or more reference waveform signals. Upon determination that a motion event has occurred, the processor can be controlled, for example, to trigger an image sensor to capture an image.

  • Publication number: 20180041736
Abstract: A surveillance camera has a power unit; a control unit selectively powered by the power unit; a subject detection sensor powered by the power unit; and an image sensor operatively connected to the subject detection sensor and the control unit. The subject detection sensor detects a presence of a subject within limits of subject detection parameters and a length of time wherein the subject detection sensor detects the presence of the subject within the limits of the subject detection parameters defines a subject detection time period. The image sensor and the control unit are constantly activated by the power unit during the subject detection time period where the subject detection sensor detects the presence of the subject within the limits of the subject detection parameters.

  • Patent number: 9389201
Abstract: An electromagnetic probe for non-destructive inspection of a twisted tube of a twisted tube heat exchanger comprising a probe body having a sensing section being configured to allow circulation of the probe body within the length of circular tube and the length of helical oval tube and to allow displacement of the electromagnetic sensor(s) from a radially inward contracted position to a radially outward expanded position in close proximity to an interior surface of a crest of the oval tube; a conduit attached to a proximal end of the probe body, the at least one conductor extending within the conduit to a remote end of the electromagnetic probe.

  • Patent number: 6805150
Abstract: The invention concerns a device consisting of at least a valve comprising a body (1) with a through channel (5), provided with several orifices and in particular orifices (4) serving both as intake and/or through passage, which orifices (4) are provided to enable, by means of accessory components, two bodies to be juxtaposed, and provide a common supply to several valves. The communication between the intake channel (5) and the outlet port (9) is provided by means of a cylindrical bore and a slide valve mobile in said bore. The outlet port (9) is located above the channel (5) and a bleed orifice (16) is located beneath said channel. Said bleed orifice (16) is in communication with the outlet port by means of the slide valve.
