  • Patent number: 11957435
Abstract: An acousto-optic imaging method in which light waves and unfocused acoustic waves having various directions of propagation m are emitted in a medium, by spatially modulating the amplitude of the ultrasonic transducers of an array of transducers according to several periodic spatial amplitude modulations j, and the resulting optical signal Smj(t) is captured. For each direction of propagation m, the signals Smj(t) are spatially demodulated in order to determine a signal Sm(t) used to reconstruct the image of the medium.

  • Publication number: 20220039364
Abstract: A fishing rod includes at least three telescopic sections: a first section, N0, a last tip section, and an intermediate section. The first section defines a line input passage on the periphery thereof. The rod goes from fully retracted to deployed positions, and a semi-retracted position, called the line input position, in which section N0+i, i?1, is deployed with respect to section N0 and in which the tip is received into such section. A first retainer abuts, in the semi-retracted position, against the tip to retain the tip with respect to section and prevent it from reaching the line input passage. A second retainer holds the tip in the semi-retracted position when subjected to forces of less than 10 N tending to move it away from section N0, in a location at less than 30 centimetres, from a position of abutment against the first retainer.

  • Patent number: 5599267
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for making display boxes having windows made of substantially rigid plastic material. The boxes comprise substantially rigid opaque material, such as paperboard, in combination with substantially rigid plastic material. The substantially rigid plastic material includes at least one fold line or groove which cooperates with a fold line in the opaque material when the box is set up. The present invention provides a method and apparatus for making such boxes from a supply of sheets of the opaque material and a supply of sheets of the plastic material. The method comprises the steps of supplying a sheet of opaque material with an opening, positioning a supplied sheet of plastic material into juxtaposition with the sheet of opaque material to cover the opening, adhering the plastic material to the opaque material, and forming groove lines in the plastic and opaque sheets to permit folding of the sheets along aligned groove lines.

The boxes comprise substantially rigid opaque material, such as paperboard, in combination with substantially rigid plastic material. The substantially rigid plastic material includes at least one fold line or groove which cooperates with a fold line in the opaque material when the box is set up. The present invention provides a method and means for making such boxes in a single machine from a supply of blanks of the opaque material and a roll of ungrooved plastic material. The machine comprises means for feeding of the opaque blanks, feeding of a length of the plastic material, means for forming at least one groove in the length of plastic material, means for cutting the grooved plastic material into sheets, and means for juxtaposing and joining the blanks of opaque material and the cut plastic sheets of material.

  • Patent number: 4826004
Abstract: This invention relates to a display box of the kind comprising a part of an opaque material such as cardboard and an opening overlapping or straddling at least one edge of the box and which is shut off by a sheet of a plastics material. According to the invention the sheet is formed from a rigid plastics material. The sheet may be formed by a single sheet and have two preparatory or incipient folds produced by pre-scoring or pre-grooving along the lines corresponding to the edges which are to be produced, the edges of the plastics sheet having notches at the extremities of each incipient fold. The invention also provides a method of and apparatus for manufacturing the box.

  • Patent number: 4713046
Abstract: The invention relates to the Cardboard Industry. More specially it relates to a machine for manufacturing of display packages of the type comprising an opening straddling at least one edge and which is closed by a stiff, transparent sheet of plastic material. The device according the present invention comprises a horizontal circular plate, a plurality of work stations which feed the suction boxes positioned on the said plate which permit to move the blanks from one of the work stations to the other. It comprises at least stations for the cardboard blanks, for the plastic blanks, for the coating of the blanks, for the sealing and/or grooving of the plastic blanks and for picking up the assembled blanks.
