Abstract: A process for the manufacture of a heat strengthened glass substrate, includes the application of a temporary layer including a polymer on a glass substrate including a glass sheet, then the application to the glass substrate coated with the temporary layer of a treatment for the heat strengthening of the glass including heating, leading to the removal of the temporary layer, and then cooling by blowing of air through nozzles. The glass substrate thus obtained exhibits a reduced level of iridescences.

Abstract: There is disclosed a Bramah lock which comprises locking lever bars mounted for longitudinal displacement and rotation, said bars having each two cuttings, thereby providing the lock with a double safety device as long as the bars are not actuated by the key to their unlocked position. The lock is therefore a double security lock offering an increased resistance to unauthorized attempts to pick it and a larger number of combinations.

Abstract: There is disclosed a Bramah lock suitable for use on a safe-deposit box or an armored door in which the bolt of the locking mechanism is actuatable by bars which are disposed in serially arranged sets extending through the door to a keyhole and co-operable by abutment so that displacements of the bars relatively adjacent to the keyhole are not transmitted to bars relatively remote therefrom. An externally toothed gear coaxially of the barrel is operatively disposed between the barrel and the bolt for controlling the operation of the latter. There are a plurality of toothed sector members with slots in engagement with a fence plate when they are in alignment, the fence plate being driven by a check fence plate resiliently connected thereto and displaceable in response to the barrel motion so as to permit rotation of the barrel even if the fence member is not in engagement with the slots in the sector members.

Abstract: A pivot device is disclosed for use in connection with the doors of containers such as safes, vaults and the like. It provides for the door to consecutively pivot around two separate axes when it is fully opened or closed. The pivots themselves are located within the container to prevent tampering.

Abstract: Combination lock for the control of the retraction of a lock latch comprising a multiplicity of notched members each displaceable as a function of a numeral or number in the combination, in order that, upon display of the right combination, the notches are aligned with a device for retracting the latch, characterized in that said device comprises means such that, by acting on a same member for instance a button, in a first phase the rake can be moved towards engagement with the notches then aligned, and in a second phase the driving of the latch in a retraction movement can be ensured.

Abstract: A combination lock intended to equip a door of a safe, chest or strong room is disclosed in which both the setting up of the opening combination and the control of said opening are obtained using a single operating member.It comprises:(i) a multiplicity of ward-toothed wheel couples, each ward having a rack-gear with which co-operates the associated wheel adapted to be driven into rotation by the operating member;(ii) catches of the same number as that of the wards and integral with a rake the motion of which, controlled by the operating member is only possible after the setting up of the combination;(iii) bolt blocking means, integral with the rake and adapted to co-operate with a bearing of the tail of the bolt in order to allow or prevent the latter's sliding motion; and(iv) a bolt driving mechanism which carries actuating means for a device intended to jam the combination.

Abstract: A safety lock and its actuation key are disclosed. The lock comprises an apertured barrel mounted in a cylinder which barrel can be rotated with respect to the cylinder when notched cams inside said barrel have their notches aligned, so that by rotating the key at least one longitudinal catch placed between the barrel and said cylinder can take place into said aligned notches. The apertures form two couples of shanks perpendicular to a central channel for the key body and the shanks of a couple are offset in height with respect to one another.

Abstract: Device for controlling means of maintaining a door leaf in its casing, including, in addition to a conventional bolt, a section extending over the height of the outer edge of the leaf and introduced for the locked closure of the door into a matching groove in the casing, said section being disengageable by a horizontal translation movement for unlocking, wherein a handle, starting from the locked position, enables the flat section or safety bolt to be disengaged during a first rotation phase and the conventional or latch bolt to be retracted during a subsequent phase.
