  • Patent number: 8798816
Abstract: The method for unloading the inertia wheels of a spacecraft comprising three references axes X, Y, Z, the axis Z corresponding to a pointing direction, consists in inverting the direction of accumulation of the angular momentum in the wheels by automatic rotational flipping of the spacecraft about the axis Z, the pointing direction remaining fixed. The method has application to the field of satellites or of interplanetary probes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 7, 2009
Date of Patent: August 5, 2014
    Assignee: Thales

  • Patent number: 6430970
Abstract: The compressive orthosis comprises a leg portion (16) in a compressive knit suitable for delivering degressive therapeutic retention. The compressive knit comprises a net type knit knitted with a weft thread (22) of elastic material, advantageously in combination with at least one background thread (24, 26, 28), likewise in elastic material, and of smaller weight than the weft thread. The assembly forms a deformable array of substantially hexagonal cells (30) which, on being deformed, present greater elastic return force in the horizontal direction (H) than in the vertical direction (V).

  • Patent number: 5798904
Abstract: In a vacuum processing chamber, an exemplary electrical contact assembly between an electrostatic chuck and a voltage source comprises a flexible wire connected at one end to the underside of the electrostatic chuck and at the other end to a conductive socket fixed in the electrode cap. An electrical contacting member which is connected to the voltage source is removably received into the socket so that the electrode cap can be replaced by lifting the electrode cap and socket off of the contacting member which is fixed in the electrode base.
