Abstract: A lift device having a vertical column securable on a support surface. A support frame is movably secured along at least a portion of the column. A driveable drum is secured in an upper part of the column and a drive assembly, including a drive motor, is coupled to the drum. At least one cable is secured to the drum and the support frame and is of sufficient strength to displace the support frame and a load thereon along the column. In a preferred embodiment, there are two columns spaced apart, whereby a vehicle can be lifted from each side thereof.
