    Abstract: A right angle thermally responsive expansion valve having an integrally formed valve actuator rod with an enlarged head contacted by a pressure responsive diaphragm and the rod is guided for sliding movement in the valve body. The actuator rod has a reduced diameter end which contacts a valve member for effecting opening of the valve. The reduced diameter end is sealed by a seal ring between the rod and the body.
