  • Publication number: 20240100747
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a 3D-printed tire segment model having a tread portion comprising a plurality of grooves, ribs and/or tread blocks, and a plurality of blades extending out of the ribs and/or tread blocks, wherein the tire segment model is made of a 3D-printed polymer. Moreover, the present invention is drawn to a method of making a tire mold segment, including the step of 3D-printing the above tire segment model with a polymer.

  • Publication number: 20230391146
Abstract: Aspects of the invention relate to a tire that includes a shoulder wedge arranged in a shoulder portion of the tire between the sidewall and the belt package, the shoulder wedge being at least partially inserted between the belt package and the carcass ply. The tread includes a tread chimney component extending from the shoulder wedge to the rolling surface. The overlay coat of the tire's belt package, the tread band except for the tread chimney component, the tread base and the tire sidewall are made from non-conductive rubber. A conductive path between the rolling surface and the rim is provided across the tread chimney component, the shoulder wedge, the carcass ply and the chafer portion.

  • Patent number: 6484538
Abstract: A method of detecting a critical state of closing of a preform during a phase of closing of the preform following a phase of deposition of layers of material that reduce the radial size of an opening formed in the preform smaller in the radial direction comprises the steps of injecting a gas into the opening, measuring a pressure in a pipe element through which the injected gas flows and detecting the critical state of closing of the optical preform on the basis of a measured pressure.
