  • Publication number: 20240079421
Abstract: The present description concerns an image sensor formed inside and on top of a semiconductor substrate, the sensor comprising a plurality of pixels, each comprising a photodetector formed in the substrate, the sensor comprising at least first and second bidimensional metasurfaces stacked, in this order, in front of said plurality of pixels, each metasurface being formed of a bidimensional array of pads, the first metasurface having a first optical function and the second metasurface having a second optical function different from the first optical function.

  • Patent number: 8741635
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a method for the generation of a substantially homogenous population of undifferentiated cells. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for isolating a substantially homogenous population of stem cells, and in particular, mammary stem cells (MaSCs). The MaSCs of the present invention are isolated on the basis of differential levels of proteins present on their cell surface. The MaSCs of the present invention are particularly useful as targets for identifying agents which modulate MaSC survival, self-renewal, proliferation and/or differentiation in both normal and diseased tissue such as, but not limited to, tumor tissue, and, also as source of tissue for the regeneration, replacement and/or augmentation of tissue damaged and/or lost after disease or injury.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 12, 2005
Date of Patent: June 3, 2014
Assignee: The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research
Inventors: Geoffrey John Lindeman, Mark Shackleton, Francois Vaillant, Jane Ellen Visvader

  • Patent number: 5981601
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to therapeutic compositions comprising one or more redox compounds. The therapeutic compositions of the present invention are useful in enhancing cellular ATP production thereby ameliorating the effects of reduced bioenergy capacity such as occurring during aging, systemic or vascular disease or in conjunction with chemical therapy. The present invention therefore contemplates a method for enhancing cellular ATP production in an animal, said method comprising administering to said animal, an effective amount of a redox compound for a time and under conditions sufficient to increase or otherwise elevate the activity and/or operation of a cellular oxidoreductase system in cells of said animal.

  • Patent number: 4719562
Abstract: The system according to the invention comprises a central microprocessor and peripheral microprocessors. A direct-access transfer memory is provided for the communication of the processors with one another. The memory is divided into as many distinct, determined zones as there are peripheral processors. The memory is connected to two addressing buses of which the latter serves equally well to address the boxes of the memory by the central microprocessor and to address the zones of the memory allocated to the peripheral microprocessors. The system is particularly well adapted to data transfers between a telephone automatic switch and subscribers' sets.
