  • Patent number: 7379578
Abstract: The invention concerns an image database comprising a plurality of tables each including fields concerning at least image acquisition conditions, and/or sample identification, the tables being connected to one another in accordance with selected relationships. Each image acquisition comprises a control for displacing the sample-holder, parameters of the filtering means or parameters of the processing means, and an input for values of each acquisition parameter in the corresponding fields of the database tables. The imaging apparatus comprises a consultation unit for interrogating the image database with a request containing at least a criterion corresponding to at least an acquisition parameter, to select images fulfilling said criterion and to display said resulting selected images. The consultation unit comprises processing and analysing means for processing the resulting acquired images, and related data, retrieved or derived from processing said images.

  • Publication number: 20070195321
Abstract: The invention relates to a device which is used to read and analyse chips. The inventive device comprises a table (11) for receiving a chip (12) that is intended to characterise at least one sample, means of exciting the molecules or cells of the chip after reaction with other molecules and means (14) of reading and analysing the molecules subjected to excitation. The invention is characterised in that the device also comprises: a unit (15) for controlling the temperature of the aforementioned table, said control unit being connected to a module (111) consisting of a plurality of Peltier-type heating/cooling elements which are disposed opposite different slots on the surface of the table; and at least one table temperature sensor (112) which is also connected to said control unit. The invention also relates to the associated methods.

  • Publication number: 20050042609
Abstract: The invention concerns a system for detecting chromosomal imbalance by in situ hybridization of fluorescent probes on interphase nuclei, comprising the following phases: hybridizing in situ fluorescent probes on two separate chromosomes; exposing each probe with a different fluorochrome; measuring the intensity signals corresponding respectively to each probe thus exposed, on an assembly of nuclei, said measurement being carried out within a control cell population and within a cell population subjected to detection; calculating a ratio between the signals corresponding to each of the probes, said ratio calculation being carried out on said control cell population to provide a reference ratio and said population subjected to detection; comparing the fluorescence ratio corresponding to the population subjected to detection with the reference ratio; and processing the result of said comparison to detect an inter-chromosomal imbalance.

  • Patent number: 4539639
Abstract: A process and appparatus for obtaining three-dimensional images of an object with an application of the process and the device to the tomography of an organ. The device includes a detector or mobile rays which rotates about the object and mechanisms which provide references for the angular position of the detector with respect to the reference plane. The detector contains detection areas which receive the radiation and are identified by their number and emit signals, the amplitude of which depends on the intensity of the received rays. Also included in the device is an iterative processing machine which operates by convergent processing of the signal amplitude values with the processing mechanism being connecting to visualization devices in order to display the images of the object in various cross-section planes after each iteration.
