  • Publication number: 20190209119
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging device includes an angle sensor to measure the angular orientation of the device. A first user input causes the device to store the first angular orientation in memory as a stored angular orientation. A second user input causes the device to determine a second angular orientation of the device or of a projected path of a probe through a probe guide. The device compares the second angular orientation with the first angular orientation and provides a visual indication of the direction(s) to rotate the device and/or probe holder and/or probe so that the second angular orientation is equal to or substantially equal to the stored angular orientation.

  • Patent number: 10334869
Abstract: Methods for increasing the levels of avenanthramides in oats through false malting is disclosed. Oats are first subject to induction or enhancement of a secondary dormancy, and then malted for up to 5 days at an elevated temperature. The malted but not germinated oats are then dried and used as is, or further processed or milled to produce food, feed, nutraceutical or personal care products and ingredients. Methods are also provided for rendering non-dormant oats dormant and thus suitable for false malting.

  • Patent number: 10162393
Abstract: As may be implemented in accordance with one or more embodiments, an electrical connector such as a low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) connector is sealed to an opening in a base deck having bottom and/or side walls that define a cavity. A mechanical component is coupled to balance forces applied to opposing surfaces of the electrical connector, which can mitigate the application of high forces to connector pins and/or to the connector itself. Further, this balancing may be implemented to maintain a controlled bias force against the connector. The electrical connector may, for example, be hermetically sealed to the opening by a seal such as a gasket, epoxy or other material, which may be included in the electrical connector.
