  • Patent number: 5274959
Abstract: A system and method for polishing the edges of a plurality of semiconductor wafers rotates a stack of wafers against a polish one or more pads such that both the wafer edges and the sides of the edges are polished to a mirror finish. The polish pad has a series of grooves through which the wafer edges are passed to polish the sides of the wafer edges, or two pads are used, one with grooves and one without grooves.

  • Patent number: 5172457
Abstract: A funiary urn is disclosed. The urn includes a pedestal, a canister and a cap. The pedestal is attached to the canister by a bolt and a nut having an axially extended nut shank of non-circular cross-sectional shape for engaging mating apertures in the pedestal and in the canister. A gasket compressed between the inner canister surface and the nut top provides a seal inhibiting gas flow into or out of the canister at the attachment opening. When the cap is assembled to the canister, an inwardly embossed cap lip extends continuously around the cap at a locus spaced above the cap edge so as to engage the canister top edge and form a seal inhibiting gas flow. The cap is drawn tightly into its sealed position by an arrangement of detents and detent-accepting grooves.

  • Patent number: 4075845
Abstract: A method and apparatus using a FREEZE/THAW POWER CYCLE. The apparatus includes a piston driven by the expansion power of a fluid such as water in a cyclinder on freezing and the thawing thereof with alternate, rapid freezing and thawing of the fluid by low and high temperature means with heat transfer rates facilitated by the use of heat pipes or tubes or other conductor means to produce a continuous single or multi cyclinder quick, polution free and noiseless freeze/thaw power cycle.

  • Patent number: 4065810
Abstract: A method for accessing and storing data in randomly assigned storage locations in a memory associated with a processor under the control of external circuits connected to the processor I/O bus, said external circuits being provided with registers for storing several assigned addresses in the memory which contain the starting addresses in the memory of a control list stored in a plurality of sequential addresses and five or more storage areas, each including a plurality of contiguous storage locations and further provision being made within the said processor for incrementing the addresses stored in the said assigned addresses each time they are accessed for performing a reading or writing operation in the memory location designated therein.

  • Patent number: 3992858
Abstract: A hydraulic system for controlling a gang of lawn mowers including a hydraulic pump and a multi-section valve and hydraulic motors driving the mowers. Hydraulic cylinders are also included in the system, for raising and lowering the mowers, and a check valve is connected with the cylinders for controlling the lowering of the mowers. The main valve is arranged with a plurality of spools which control the aforementioned functions and with the spools being set by means of a single handle so that the operator can perform the aforementioned functions through maneuvering the single handle for each set of hydraulic motors and cylinders. A hydraulic flow restrictor is included in the system for reversing the motors at a speed slower than the forward motor speed, for a slower reverse rotation of the mowers, such as for back-lapping of the mowers.
