  • Patent number: 10177624
Abstract: An electric machine includes a first circuit through which a first working fluid can flow and a second circuit through which a second working fluid can flow. The first circuit and the second circuit are formed hermetically. In order to cool the electric machine particularly well, the first circuit and the second circuit have a common heat exchanger surface which is constructed in such a way that thermal energy from the first working fluid of the first circuit can be transmitted to the second working fluid of the second circuit or vice versa from the second working fluid to the first working fluid by way of the heat exchanger surface. A method for cooling an electric machine and a motor vehicle having an electric machine are also provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 10, 2015
Date of Patent: January 8, 2019
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 9190885
Abstract: A drive device for a motor vehicle includes at least one electric machine having at least one rotor element which includes a single-piece, essentially sleeve-shaped rotor carrier to delimit an installation area in a radial direction. At least one transmission device is disposed, at least partly, in the installation area and configured to be driven by the electric machine via the rotor element.

  • Publication number: 20140302958
Abstract: A drive device is particularly suited for driving a vehicle. The device has an electrical drive machine with a rotor. The drive machine is coupled to a drive shaft by way of a gear arrangement. The gear arrangement, which includes a gear mechanism and/or a differential, is integrated within the rotor of the electrical drive machine.

  • Patent number: 6281844
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrical component (CO) as well as a device (DEV) comprising such an electrical component (CO) and an electric circuit module (MO). A ground plane (4) of the component (CO) and a ground plane (2) of the circuit module (MO) are brought into contact via projections (4″) provided on the ground plane (4) of the component (CO) and/or on the ground plane of the circuit module (MO). The provision of the projections (4″) and the recesses (4′) therebetween provide heat sinks between the projections (4″) when they are soldered to the ground plane (2) of the circuit module (MO). Through-holes (8′) and additional non-ground conductors (2′) can be provided between pads (14) of the ground plane (2) of the circuit module (MO) allowing an efficient use of the available space. The invention is particularly useful when a patch antenna needing a large ground plane is connected to a multilayer circuit board.
