  • Patent number: 10091584
Abstract: In some embodiments, portable speakers can be small and lightweight and can communicate with one or more audio device over wired or wireless connections. In some embodiments, portable speakers achieve reduced complexity as compared to typical high fidelity systems (e.g., by including a reduced number of speaker drivers and amplifiers), while still maintaining high fidelity stereo audio playback, thereby achieving both portability and high quality audio capability. For instance, certain implementations of the speaker include two primary speakers disposed on opposing faces of the speaker enclosure (e.g., full or mid-range drivers) and two tweeters, also disposed on opposing faces. Primary speakers can be disposed on respective ends of the housing and each can output a different stereo channel. Each tweeter can be positioned on different face of the housing. The speaker system according to some embodiments generates a mono high frequency signal to drive the tweeters.

  • Publication number: 20120085053
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a lighweight the with a tapered support angle reverse, to the angle of the roof, a tile having uniform contact with the roof surface that does not require battens and can be walked on without the fear of breaking. This the can be fabricated in several materials including concrete, ceramic, porcelain or clay. By increasing the surface area of the underside of this tile with numerous cavities and ribs, the capability for dissipating heat is greatly increased. The lightweight tile has the option of incorporating a breathable, underlying cushioning/insulating With this system of interlocking and overlapping tiles, when the top tile overlaps the tile below the top tile cantilevers and lays flat on the tile below it, greatly reducing the vulnerability to stress fracture because of the reverse angle and supporting ribs structure of the tile.

  • Patent number: 5472252
Abstract: The snow shovel of this invention comprises a second handle which may be integrated into OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) shovels or marketed as a kit to the DIY (Do It Yourself) consumer for adding into existing shovels. The purpose of adding the second handle is to reduce the pressure on the back of the user and hence the name BACK EZE.TM. for the shovel. The handle specifically comprises a hollow tube through which a single rope passes twice (same direction both times) criss-crossing through the handle. The ends of the rope are tied to top extremities of the shovel. The middle of the rope is clove hitched to the long handlebar/stem of the shovel.

  • Patent number: 5456030
Abstract: A coupling device or "quick coupler" which permits the rapid connecting and disconnecting of implements to an earth-working device having a hoe boom comprising at least one primary lifting arm fitted for a hinge pin and a "curling linkage" mechanism having either two idler links and a power link, or a single part functioning as an idler link interacting with a power link, either alternative being powered by hydraulic cylinder(s) and fitted for a link pin. The quick coupler has a housing, which can be temporarily attached to the hoe boom using the hinge and link pins or can be built into the hoe boom itself, and which contains a connection for attaching the coupling device to a variety of implements. The effective operating distance or range of motion of the connector can be adjusted so that the coupler can be used with various implements having different center line distances between the hinge and link pins.
